The fan game is clearly ambitious, and it’s been a long time since a brand-new 2D Mega Man game came out. It may not be an official Capcom release, nor does it pretend to be, but Mega Man X: Regenesis knows what nostalgic fans want to see of the franchise and delivers on that—likely because the developer wants it, too.
