Resident Evil Requiem Trick Makes No-Heal Runs Way Easier

Resident Evil Requiem Trick Makes No-Heal Runs Way Easier

Having already surpassed 6 million units sold, Resident Evil Requiem is off to an unprecedented start for the survival horror franchise. Many players are already attempting multiple runs through the game, aiming to unlock trophies and achievements while also completing brutal challenges for special unlocks. One of the more brutal tasks that fans have been working on in secondary playthroughs of Resident Evil Requiem has been the no-heal challenge, called “Never Touch the Stuff,” and one fan has reminded fellow completionists of a handy tip for surviving the horror game without using healing items.

The success of Resident Evil Requiem has been widely attributed to its balance of intense horror sequences with Grace Ashcroft and action-packed battle segments featuring franchise favorite Leon S. Kennedy. Both the game’s characters and stories have drawn in longtime fans and first-time players, and the typical replayability of the Resident Evil series has once again given audiences plenty of reasons to enjoy multiple runthroughs of Requiem. That said, no-heal runs have proven to be particularly difficult for some fans, but one very simple tip, combined with other useful reminders, makes the feat much more manageable.

Best Tips to Complete Insanity Mode in Resident Evil Requiem

Insanity Mode is the ultimate challenge in Resident Evil Requiem. However, with these tips, you’ll be able to beat it with ease.

Tips for Beating Resident Evil Requiem Without Healing

Reddit user RailgunRP shared a helpful tip about the Steroids in Resident Evil Requiem that can make it a lot easier to beat the game without using any healing items. While playing as Grace, players are able to exchange collectible coins to unlock the special Steroids injector that will increase Grace’s maximum health. The injector is not classified as a healing item, yet it does give a full health refill upon use. This means fans can get the Steroids and boost Grace’s max health while also getting a full recovery, all without breaking the requirements for “Never Touch the Stuff.” Grace can craft additional Steroids with Blood and Empty Injectors, allowing players to use this trick multiple times throughout their playthrough. One major caveat is that Leon does not have access to these Steroids, but there are other ways to make a no-heal run feasible in Resident Evil Requiem.

One of the more obvious approaches to “Never Touch the Stuff” in Resident Evil Requiem is playing on Casual Mode, which minimizes the damage taken from attacks and automatically heals both Grace and Leon back to half health. Leon can also spend his Credits earned from defeating enemies to upgrade his Armor, further reducing any damage he may take during his battle-heavy sections of the game. Weapon upgrades can make it easier to dispatch any infected creatures trying to harm Grace or Leon, though avoiding enemies by taking out their legs and simply running around them can make the lack of healing during this challenge less difficult. Another tip shared under RailgunRP’s post by DeeMayCry reminds players that Leon gets a full health bar during the motorbike sequence, so it is wise to drop a save after that portion of the game for an easy run-back with max health.

Frequent saves, especially after popping some Steroids as Grace or after completing a boss fight as Leon can make it faster and simpler to restart, should players end up being too frugal with their health and dying. Restarting from a previous save can also help if players accidentally use a healing item, as the restart will not count the use of the item and will not impact the ability to complete “Never Touch the Stuff.” Whether attempting a no-heal run or other challenges in Resident Evil Requiem, making the most of the resources available to both Grace and Leon in their respective sections will be crucial. Interested fans can stay tuned for more helpful tips and official news on Resident Evil Requiem, including the upcoming DLC and other announcements about the iconic survival horror series.
