Steam Users Have a Chance to Get 007 First Light for Just $1

Steam Users Have a Chance to Get 007 First Light for Just

Lucky Steam users have a chance, however slim, to snag the upcoming action-adventure game 007 First Light for just $1 thanks to known retailer Fanatical. There’s no better deal going on right now, anywhere, ahead of 007 First Light‘s May 27 release date, but to be perfectly clear, a lot of luck is required.

007 First Light is easily among the most anticipated games of 2026, not just May, as it’s been several years since a good James Bond game has graced fans. Of course, the standard version sells at the typical retail price of $70, but $70 is hard enough to come by with current economic woes. Someone somewhere is going to get this game for just $1, but there is no guarantee whatsoever, at all, that the Fanatical deal will net you the upcoming game.

007 First Light Has Officially Gone Gold

IO Interactive’s upcoming action-adventure game 007 First Light has officially gone gold and is ready for the next stage of its lifecycle.

Get a Shot at 007 First Light for Just $1 on Fanatical

Fanatical’s Mystery Egg Bundle is basically a raffle where a bunch of players put in money, and some players get great games out of it. Everyone gets something, but small-scale indie games are more likely than others. That said, games like 007 First Light, Crimson Desert, Death Stranding 2, and more are currently available for those who do get lucky with this purchase. Fanatical’s Mystery Egg Bundle comes in at multiple price points, with the lowest including 1 Mystery Steam Key for $1. Users can buy as many of these Steam keys as they wish, in bundles of 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30, with the last bundle reducing the cost per Steam Key to just 66 cents. There are randomized Steam Keys given out with the purchase of each bundle, with the Golden Egg prize having major AAA games. It could be Crimson Desert, it could be 007 First Light, but this is a solid deal for a few. There is no guarantee of spending $70 for 70 keys on this deal and getting 007 First Light, so fans should consider that before making the dive.

To claim and redeem these purchased Steam Keys, Steam users will need to ensure they are logged into their browser, connect their Steam account to Fanatical (having spent at least $5 before), and then they can use Fanatical’s “Redeem on Steam” option to claim the games. Otherwise, they’ll need to copy the code of each purchased Steam Key and carry it over to the Steam client via Games –> Activate a Product on Steam.

Overall, this is easily the best deal on the internet for 007 First Light and probably one of the best if looking for a bunch of cheap Steam games. The random nature is unfortunate, of course, and there are other questions. For example, action-adventure games are typically better on console than on Steam—they feel more like “couch games”—so some may prefer to buy and play it elsewhere. Ultimately, the biggest question right now is if 007 First Light delivers on its high expectations (it’s certainly worth more than a $1 at least).

GameRant editor-in-chief Anthony Taormina recently played 007 First Light and described his experience positively: “[W]hat I played had so much variety both in terms of what you are doing moment-to-moment and in how you can approach a given challenge. If First Light is the beginning of the next era of 007 video games, then the James Bond franchise is in great hands.”
