Steam Users Have Limited Time to Claim 2 Games Completely Free of Charge

Steam‘s Free-to-Keep Promotion is back with two games to round out May 2026’s selection, those games being the atmospheric exploration puzzle game Moonrise Fall and a Chained Together-like game called IQ Under Construction. Both are only available for a limited time, but if Steam users claim them before they expire, then they’ll be able to keep them forever.

However, it’s worth noting that these are only the latest additions to the Free-to-Keep Promotion. As of this writing, Drift86 is available on Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion, and it is a drift-focused, simplistic racing game available until June 3. Beyond that, there is the ongoing Free Weekend on Steam for the 6-player co-op RPG Path of Exile 2. In other words, there are plenty of free PC games to play or pick up right now.

Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion Has 5* Upcoming 100% Free Games for June 2026

Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion is currently slated to get at least five games in June, although more are on the way and one has a slight caveat.

Steam’s Free-to-Keep Games for June 1 and June 2

IQ Under Construction is a chaotic multiplayer platformer built around teamwork and precision jumping, basically a little bit of Only Up! and a little bit of Chained Together. Up to four players climb a massive vertical obstacle course filled with moving platforms, traps, disappearing blocks, and increasingly difficult parkour challenges. It can be played solo, but it’s one of those games where it is significantly worse than if there is no cooperative gameplay. It is available as part of this promotion until June 1 at 12 pm CT.

Moonrise Fall is an atmospheric pixel-art exploration and puzzle adventure game about a boy trapped in a forest. With a camera, journal, and lantern, players must investigate cryptids, environmental puzzles, hidden languages, and so forth. There is a huge emphasis on atmosphere and mystery in its exploration. Overall, they’re pretty different games: even more so than the implication of a single-player and multiplayer title. It is available as part of this promotion until June 2 at 12 pm CT.

Reviews are in similar boats. As an indie game on Steam, Moonrise Fall hasn’t received a lot of attention, but it has gotten 25 reviews. They give it an 88% Positive rating; meanwhile, the one thing almost worse than bad reviews is no reviews. IQ Under Construction only has a handful of reviews, and not enough to earn it a review rating. Most of them are negative, but at the cost of being free, it’s harder to complain. It might make for a couple of dumb fun sessions at least.

Overall, there will be more games coming to Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion in June. If none of the aforementioned games are your cup of tea, more will be available in the coming days.
