Steam Users Have Until May 28 to Claim Special New Freebie

Until May 28, Steam users can grab a free DLC for the free-to-play military game World of Tanks, but what makes this freebie special is that it is inspired by Warhammer 40,000. Steam is currently hosting a Warhammer Skulls sale, meaning many of the franchise’s most recognizable games are available at a discount right now. On top of that, there is also this new free DLC that’s likely to appeal to fans of the series.

Steam users who are also Warhammer fans have a few more offers to check out. Total War: Warhammer 3 and Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector are both free to play for a limited time, with those deals ending on May 25 and May 28, respectively. Steam is also giving away another Warhammer 40,000 game called Gladius – Relics of War with a 100% discount until May 28. And if that still is not enough, players can also download a themed DLC pack and keep it forever.

Steam Users Can Claim a 9/10 Hit Simulation Game for Free Until May 27 and Keep It Forever

A popular simulation game with Very Positive reviews is currently completely free to download and keep forever, a la Steam’s Free-to-Keep promotion.

The SKULLS pack adds a new skin for World of Tanks‘ US military vehicles. It includes a red paint job called “Hues of Sanguine,” inspired by Warhammer 40,000‘s Blood Angels Legion. The pack also comes with one day of free premium content for World of Tanks and five Cases of Cola, an in-game consumable. World of Tanks DLC usually costs anywhere from a few dollars to more than $50, but the SKULLS pack will stay completely free until May 28, 2026.

Players will need to own World of Tanks to use the Warhammer-inspired DLC. But the good news is that World of Tanks is already a free game on Steam, so the only cost is the time it takes to download the game and the free pack. It is also important to remember that players who already claimed World of Tanks‘ Hues of Sanguine Pack from the game’s store are not eligible for this giveaway.

In World of Tanks, players compete against each other in different squadrons. So, it is basically a massively multiplayer vehicular combat game. Its warfare is tactical, and resource/crew management is a critical aspect of the gameplay. That is not to say that players cannot go flamboyant on the battlefield with flashy tank exteriors, though. In fact, most of the game’s popular tank skins lean toward realism, which makes the free Hues of Sanguine pack a particularly eye-catching option for players who do not mind being easier to spot.

For more freebies like World of Tanks‘ promotion, Steam users can also check out AquaDream‘s giveaway. AquaDream is an indie game that is currently offering a 100% discount on its soundtrack, which includes ten songs. That deal only covers the game’s music, but Steam has another offer that gives fans a full game for free: Until May 27, users can claim Car Mechanic Simulator 2018, which has 90% positive reviews as of this writing.
