The Boys Is Getting A Game Right Before Its Final Season Begins

Arvore and Sony Pictures Virtual Reality have released a new trailer for The Boys: Trigger Warning, offering a first look at VR gameplay and confirming that it’ll release later this month.

The Boys: Trigger Warning lands on Meta Quest 3 on March 26, about two weeks before the fifth and final season of the Prime Video TV show begins on April 8. A PlayStation VR2 port is also in development, but does not yet have a release date. The game follows a man named Lucas Costa who teams up with The Boys in order to rescue his daughter and get revenge on a group called The Armstrongs.

As you can see in the trailer, it’s a first-person stealth and action game where players fight Vought and The Armstrongs with a variety of different wacky powers. The trailer also shows how The Boys: Trigger Warning features voice work from actors from the show, like Jensen Ackles, Laz Alonso, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne. Homelander and Billy Butcher will also appear, but don’t appear to be voiced by Antony Starr and Karl Urban, respectively.

This is the first video game based on The Boys, albeit one for VR and not traditional PC and consoles. Show creator Eric Kripke has said he’d like to see a console game one day, though. At least Homelander is in Mortal Kombat 1.

The Boys: Trigger Warning launches on March 26 on Meta Quest 3 and will cost $24. The final season of The Boys will air on Prime Video weekly between April 8 and May 20.
