Upcoming LEGO Minecraft Set for Dungeons 2 Revealed

LEGO has officially revealed The Twisted Warden Battle, a new 438-piece set based on Minecraft Dungeons 2. Scheduled to arrive in mid-summer, the newly announced model will extend LEGO’s evergreen theme with a fun build primarily catering to play.

LEGO’s first-ever Minecraft set, 21102 Micro World: The Forest, originally debuted in June 2012. However, that particular model formally debuted as part of the company’s Ideas line. The dedicated LEGO Minecraft theme is younger, with its official launch dating back to September 2013. Since then, the Danish toymaker has released new brick-built models inspired by Mojang’s hit sandbox game on a regular basis, with the Minecraft theme surpassing 200 lifetime sets earlier in 2026.

LEGO Minecraft 21591 The Twisted Warden Battle Official Details

Rounding out its May 2026 lineup, LEGO recently unveiled yet another Minecraft set in the form of 21591 The Twisted Warden Battle. The 438-piece model marks the toy manufacturer’s first Minecraft Dungeons set in half a decade. Naturally, it is based on the recently announced Minecraft Dungeons 2, first revealed in March and presently planned to release in the second half of 2026. In the meantime, The Twisted Warden Battle is now available to pre-order for $59.99. It is due to debut on August 1.

As is often the case with LEGO products, The Twisted Warden Battle appeared in several pre-reveal SKU reports before its official unveiling. In a less common twist, those reports were not entirely accurate, as some had listed previously claimed LEGO’s 21591 Minecraft set would retail for $54.99, thus being off by $5. Even at the 10% higher price, The Twisted Warden Battle does not appear unusually expensive for its contents. Apart from its posable warden build utilizing about 400 pieces, the set also includes four minifigures: Kellen, Ren, Flores, and Valorie. That makes it 2026’s joint third most character-heavy LEGO Minecraft set by minifigure count, behind 21597 Ghast Station and 21596 Evoker Village Attack, which launched with five and seven, respectively.

The Twisted Warden is being positioned as a Minecraft Dungeons 2 special rather than a standard mob model. While its design aims to capture the creature’s imposing presence, it only does so to the extent that it does not interfere with the kit’s joint agility. This is, after all, a set with an 8+ age rating, meaning it is first and foremost striving to offer a quality play experience, with any display potential being a mere bonus. The fully built warden model is over 5.5 inches (13.97cm) tall, thus literally towering over the treasure chest included in the kit.

The Twisted Warden Battle is the 18th known LEGO Minecraft set planned for 2026. Its arrival is poised to complete the entire Minecraft line that LEGO insiders have been leaking since the 2025 holiday season. Given the sheer volume of sets the theme received in the first half of the year, and with no credible reports currently pointing to additional near-term releases, The Twisted Warden Battle could mark the end of LEGO’s 2026 Minecraft lineup. Even so, the Danish company’s recent track record suggests the theme has a strong chance of continuing with new sets in 2027.
