World of Warcraft secret hunters now have a place to call home, as an over a decade-old mystery dating back to the Cataclysm expansion now has a new purpose.
As discovered by the WoW Secret Finding & Collections Discord community (via Icy Veins), a strange pearl on the very edge of the Vash’jir map that has perplexed players since 2010 now serves a peculiar new function. Bumping into the pearl teleports players to a mysterious location that looks to be an alternate version of the Seat of Knowledge from Pandaria, one where a secret group called the Cabal of the Mind-Seekers meets.
This secret room essentially serves as a display room for all of the game’s unlockable “secrets” that have been added to Blizzard’s MMORPG over the years. There are locations for 30 of the game’s secrets to each be displayed, once a player has personally completed the corresponding secret.
Right now, the main thing players can do in the room (aside from admiring their secret-collecting efforts) is to actually join the cabal itself. A strange figure named Anakron can be found in the room. Once a player has completed at least 17 secrets, a new dialogue option will appear when speaking with Anakron. By selecting “I am ready,” players will then be inducted into the Cabal of the Mind-Seekers and earn a new Feat of Strength achievement and the title of “Mind-Seeker.”
That sounds simple, but unlocking various WoW secrets does require some serious leg work. Many of the secrets are quite lengthy and require many, many steps to complete, though a dedicated player following various guides that now exist should be able to presevere without too much trouble.
It seems Anakron is pointing players to yet another mystery as well, hinting at something called “Oddsight” and offering a three-word clue, “Without a stumble.” What that means is anyone’s guess, but no doubt the secret-hunting community is already hot on the trail to uncover Azeroth’s next great mystery.
WoW’s next expansion, Midnight, releases March 2. Some of the expansion’s features, like a new Demon Hunter specialization and player housing, are available now as part of the Midnight pre-patch. Midnight itself will revamp the Blood Elf lands of Quel’thalas and introduce a new playable allied race, the Haranir, as players seek to put a stop to Xal’atath’s Void invasion.
Blizzard recently revealed WoW’s 2026 roadmap, detailing what players can expect later in the year after Midnight’s launch. Future updates will introduce new one-boss raids, super-sized Delves called Labyrinths, and more. While it’s not happening this year, Blizzard also indicated it wants to revamp WoW’s two main cities, Orgrimmar and Stormwind, in the future.
