WWE 2K26 Details MyGM Mode

WWE 2K26‘s MyGM mode will see some big changes over the previous year’s installment in the wrestling game franchise from Visual Concepts and 2K, including more match types, a wider array of GMs, and longer seasons. MyGM is one of the series’ more popular modes, letting players pit hand-picked rosters of wrestlers against other brands, and WWE 2K26 is looking to expand the mode in some exciting new ways.

The release date for WWE 2K26 is set for March 13, with early access beginning on March 6, giving fans just over a month to dive into the action ahead of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. Already, Visual Concepts has given fans plenty of sneak peeks at WWE 2K26‘s upcoming CM Punk Showcase, along with four new match types, hints of new wrestlers joining the roster, and improvements made to many of the series’ existing game modes.

One of the game modes that will see some big changes is MyGM, and a new official Ringside Report from 2K lets players know what they can expect to see in this year’s version of the game mode. Among the new features, one of the biggest will be the variety of match types that players will be able to access while putting together shows for their chosen brand. Up to eight wrestlers will be able to participate in matches, with the more roster-heavy bouts including 5-way, 6-way, 8-way, 3 vs. 3, 4 vs. 4, Triple Threat tag, and Fatal Four Way tag matches, in addition to handicap matches that pit one wrestler against two to four opponents at a time. Additionally, while still including the previous special match types from previous years, new match types for WWE 2K26 have been added to MyGM mode, with Ladder, Battle Royal, Bloodline Rules, I Quit, Inferno, Dumpster, and 3 Stages of Hell matches all being made available in MyGM.

That list only covers the normal, single-brand shows that players will put on each week of the calendar, but Visual Concepts has even more match types planned for WWE 2K26‘s cross-brand PLEs. A total of 16 of these shows are planned for inclusion in the new game mode, including five returning PLEs and 11 new ones. Shows including Clash at Paris, Battleground, The Great American Bash, Halloween Havoc, No Mercy, and Worlds Collide will provide an opportunity to showcase top Superstars in a variety of matches, while special new PLEs that include Crown Jewel, Evolution, Night of Champions, Survivor Series: WarGames, and Elimination Chamber will feature their trademark headliner match types and special rules, such as Evolution’s focus on just the WWE women’s roster.

To accommodate all those extra PLEs, individual seasons will also be much longer than in past installments, capping out at 50 weeks, with a mid-season push that lets players boost the stamina and morale of up to six of their signed wrestlers. There will also be a lot more choices players have in choosing their GM for this long haul, with Bobby Heenan, Stacy Keibler, and the enigmatic Anonymous General Manager added to the roster of 16 returning GMs and the ability to add custom Superstars in the role as well. These GMs will each have up to 20 challenges they can take on each season, and completing five will result in the acquisition of a Hall of Fame trophy, allowing for up to four trophies each year in addition to end-of-season rewards.

Along with longer seasons filled with more match types, there are a number of smaller but still significant changes coming to MyGM. In addition to the existing system of trading wrestlers, players will now also be able to trade Power Cards, or they can turn off the Power Card sytem entirely. Intergender matches will be enabled for the first time in MyGM, though they will be a little more costly than regular matches. More difficult AI options have been added, as well as the ability to start with anywhere between $3 million and $7 million in cash reserves. Additionally, the WWE draft screen UI will be getting an upgrade, letting players more easily sort wrestlers by Ring Level.
