At least 32 different WWE Superstars have been confirmed as playable characters in WWE 2K26, including a few fresh faces and makeovers that bring some of its more tenured wrestlers closer to their modern-day gimmicks and personas. There will surely be a lot more wrestlers added to the next WWE 2K game before its official launch later this year, but fans can get a sneak peek at some of the grapplers they’ll be controlling.
WWE 2K25‘s full launch roster was the biggest for any WWE game ever released, with over 300 wrestlers to choose from, and it only grew from there. With 25 more wrestlers added through its season pass, special edition content that brought in the likes of Brock Lesnar and special versions of John Cena and R-Truth, and unlockable Persona Cards that add variations on several existing Superstars to the in-game roster, the game now sports a total of 436 wrestlers and managers, including never-before-seen pick-ups like Penta, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and Oba Femi.

As reported by TheSmackDownHotel, the first batch of wrestlers officially announced for WWE 2K26 has been revealed, and it includes four wrestlers making their grand debut on Visual Concepts’ stage. Blake Monroe, Myles Borne, Ricky Saints, and Zaria are all listed as first-timers in a WWE game as additions to WWE’s NXT brand. Saints and Monroe were new pick-ups for WWE in 2025, while Borne has been working with NXT since 2022. Zaria, one of the fastest-rising stars among that group, debuted at Halloween Havoc 2024 and has since been involved in feuds and partnerships with some of WWE’s top female talent.
As for the returning stars, there are plenty, though the majority come from the current RAW roster. Leaks point to a CM Punk Showcase in WWE 2K26, and the current World Heavyweight Champion is probably the biggest name on the game’s roster as it currently stands. Also listed for inclusion in the game are current WWE Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer, who joined the series through a DLC pack in the middle of last year, World Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso, and Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky. Other popular stars of RAW that players can expect to see in the game are Asuka, Bayley, Finn Balor, Logan Paul, Lyra Valkyria, and The New Day, who will likely finally have their heel personalities coded into the base game.
The SmackDown roster, however, is very light at the moment, and it’s missing all of its champions. So far, only Lash Legend and Trick Williams have been confirmed, leaving a hefty number of roster spots open for WWE’s weekly Friday night program. That includes Street Fighter movie cast members Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, who are easily two of the biggest names in wrestling, along with WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill, United States Champion Carmelo Hayes, Women’s United States Champion Giulia, all members of the Wyatt Sicks, and other popular SmackDown Superstars like Alexa Bliss, Bianca Belair, Jacob Fatu, and Randy Orton. Likewise, Dominic Mysterio and Becky Lynch hold gold on RAW and have not been confirmed yet for WWE 2K26, so there will probably be a lot more reveals to come in the lead-up to the game’s release.
In addition to the roster reveals, recent leaks have revealed four new match types for WWE 2K26. The I Quit Match and Inferno Match will reportedly be making their return after having last appeared in WWE 2K14, and an all-new Dumpster Match looks to bring a similar energy to the Ambulance Match and Casket Match types that were added in WWE 2K24. Additionally, Visual Concepts seems to be reviving the 3 Stages of Hell, a best-of-three-falls contest that changes the rules of the match after each victory.
