2K has revealed more details about WWE 2K26, this time focusing on MyFaction, which is set to receive brand-new changes and features. WWE 2K26 is the latest entry in the annual franchise and is all set to release on March 13, with early access kicking off on March 6. 2K and developer Visual Concepts have been dropping Ringside Reports for the game before release, which highlight new features, such as a new MyRise mode, updated game types, a faction-driven storyline, and an expanded 60-week system.
One complaint that players have had with previous entries in the WWE 2K franchise is regarding the MyFaction system. This card-collecting mode allows players to collect wrestlers and come up with their own teams using either earned in-game currency or real money to grind packs. The main goal here is to assemble the strongest possible faction with top-star superstars. However, the frustration within the community has grown over time, and many players believe that it’s a lackluster mode considering the grind required for packs. Although 2K revealed new match types for WWE 2K26, it was felt that MyFaction would remain unchanged and run on the same formula.

2K Confirms New MyFaction Changes in WWE 2K26
With WWE 2K26, the developers are looking to shake things up by bringing changes to MyFaction. One of these is Team Chemistry, which will be determined by the number of positive and negative faction rewards within the player lineup. Players will also now be able to play with a mixed roster of males and females, thanks to the addition of intergender support. While some events in WWE 2K26 can still require all-male or all-female teams, most of the modes in the game will work perfectly.
Another headline addition for WWE 2K26 MyFaction this time around is Quickswap. This is a mechanic inspired by fighting games, allowing players to swap from one wrestler to another during the match. Whenever wrestlers are swapped, there’s going to be a teleportation animation. Every team member will get to keep their own health bar, but they also tend to share their Signature and Finisher slots. This will add a completely different level of strategy to the game that could make matches more interesting.
Faction Wars are also making their return in WWE 2K26, with an updated progression system. Players can have cards randomly drawn from the new Crowd’s deck. As they progress in Faction Wars, they will be able to open up more decks, which will expand the pool of cards that can be unlocked. The developers are also planning to bring updates to the design of this year’s MyFaction Cards, which will now have gem rarities. Cards earned through the WWE 2K26 Ring Pass will also have their own appearance.

It still remains to be seen whether these additions will be enough to win over players this time, but 2K is planning to bring some of the biggest changes the franchise has seen in a while. For instance, wrestler entrances in WWE 2K26 will now offer more opportunities to showcase personality and perform actions, and the number of custom wrestler slots has been increased to 200. The GM mode is also receiving updates, with matches now being able to support up to eight wrestlers. Players will also have the option to choose from more difficult AI options to go against, and even the WWE draft screen UI will get an update soon. Of course, there are more improvements and additions for the game that are likely to be revealed closer to the game’s release date.
