WWE 2K26 Teases New Version of Classic Wrestler

WWE 2K26 is officially adding a brand-new version of one of the wrestling promotion’s most iconic female wrestlers, introducing a Trish Stratus variant from her debut year. The new addition to WWE 2K26 calls back to Stratus’s first appearance in a WWE ring.

The newest entry in Visual Concepts and 2K’s annual wrestling franchise features multiple callbacks to WWE’s history. The game’s wide selection of WWE superstars includes plenty of the promotion’s most recognizable names in its roster, packed with stars like Hulk Hogan, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and John Cena. Many of the wrestlers appearing in WWE 2K26 have been given different looks from across their careers, like Hollywood Hogan from his time with the NWO and all three of Mick Foley’s different characters. Now, one of the WWE’s most iconic female performers is getting a new variant in a future update.

Trish Stratus ’00 is Coming to WWE 2K26

WWE 2K26 officially revealed a brand-new version of Trish Stratus on the game’s social media accounts. The new Trish Stratus is based on her appearance in her WWE debut in 2000, donning a snakeskin dress similar to what she wore for her in-ring debut alongside Test and Prince Albert against The Hardy Boyz and Lita. Stratus is said to have chosen the outfit for her new WWE 2K26 variant herself, wanting to use an outfit that “represents the start of her WWE journey.” The official announcement does not confirm when the new version of Trish Stratus will be available, though it may be included with WWE 2K26‘s next Ringside Pass, launching in July.

The classic throwback to Trish Stratus’s debut celebrates the career of one of the WWE’s most recognizable superstars. Trish Stratus is often viewed among the greatest female wrestlers in the history of the WWE, with many modern female wrestlers citing her as a major inspiration. Stratus holds the record for the most WWE Women’s Championship reigns of all-time, winning the title seven times in a span of five years from 2001 to 2006. Stratus also has the longest WWE women’s title reign of any wrestler since 2000, retaining the title for 448 days from January 9, 2005, until April 2, 2006.

Stratus joins several other female legends featured on the roster for WWE 2K26. One of Trish Stratus’s biggest rivals from her early time in the ring makes an appearance in 2K26, with Lita available as a playable character in the base game. Visual Concepts and 2K have also frequently added other female wrestlers into the game as downloadable content. Ringside Pass Season 3 added Torrie Wilson to the game, while the 1997 version of legendary superstar Chyna is available as part of WWE 2K26‘s Attitude Era edition.

Trish Stratus is far from the only major addition planned for WWE 2K26‘s roster throughout the coming months. The launch of Ringside Pass Season 4 in July will add the previously mentioned Matt and Jeff Hardy, musician Jelly Roll, and Lady Shani to the roster. Later updates to the Ringside Pass are also set to include a slew of iconic modern WWE superstars, such as Danhausen appearing in Season 5 and Royce Keys in Season 6. WWE 2K26 continues to add new wrestlers to the game with each new Ringside Pass, giving fans plenty of reason to keep an eye on its new seasons.
