Xbox Game Pass has just added Mistfall Hunter to its content catalog. The unconventional genre hybrid is the subscription service’s 9th day-one release and 14th overall addition for July 2026, with only one more title still scheduled to join Xbox Game Pass before the end of the month.
The debut title from Chinese studio Bellring Games published by California-based Skystone Games, Mistfall Hunter is a fantasy action RPG with an extraction gameplay loop. In other words, it is a multiplayer-only, PvPvE type of experience, structured around highly repeatable runs where a player’s greed can be their undoing, but also quickly multiply their rewards from a successful attempt. These mechanics are set against a dark fantasy backdrop reminiscent of Soulsborne games, centered on a bleak world where the gods are dead and the remnants of humanity struggle to make sense of what remains.
Mistfall Hunter Now Available on Xbox Game Pass
Although it is officially scheduled for a July 30 launch, Mistfall Hunter joined the Xbox Game Pass library in the U.S. on July 29, at 6 p.m. PDT / 9 p.m. EDT. Consistent with other day-one releases on the service, the extraction ARPG is currently limited to XGP Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Based on established catalog expansion patterns, it is possible that Mistfall Hunter will join Xbox Game Pass Premium between January and July 2027. However, a delay of six to 12 months is guaranteed only for first-party titles, while third-party games such as Mistfall Hunter follow less predictable expansion schedules.
Mistfall Hunter supports cross-platform multiplayer between consoles and PC, which includes the Xbox Game Pass versions of the game. As an extraction game, it does not feature a dedicated single-player mode. Players can enter matches alone, though doing so reduces their chances of survival because they may still encounter other players or full groups. Solo play becomes available immediately after completing Mistfall Hunter‘s tutorial.

With Mistfall Hunter now available, only one more Xbox Game Pass title remains scheduled for release in July 2026: Corsair Cove. The sunny, pirate-themed city builder is set to join the service on July 31.
July 31 is also when Xbox Game Pass is losing some of its most renowned games. Celeste and Crusader Kings 3 are leaving on that date, as are My Friendly Neighborhood and Back to the Dawn, together with four other titles.
