Pokemon Legends: Z-A players have a new Mystery Gift to claim, but there’s also some good news about a special community challenge that was completed in just one day. The Pokemon Company has continued giving players new reasons to return to Lumiose City, including special distributions, limited-time events, and opportunities to obtain Pokemon that aren’t normally available. The latest Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mystery Gift is aimed at those hoping to fully complete their Pokedex or obtain some of Vivillon’s harder-to-find forms.
Vivillon is one of the more unusual Pokemon introduced in Generation 6, with its appearance changing depending on where it originates. There are 20 different patterns in total, making the chase for every form fun for everyone. While Pokemon Legends: Z-A already features Vivillon, several patterns cannot normally be found throughout Lumiose City. Fortunately, The Pokemon Company is giving players an opportunity to obtain some of those missing forms, and the event also has another reward that has already been unlocked.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Giving Away Special Free Download of Spewpa and Vivillon
The latest Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mystery Gift allows players to claim a free Spewpa until November 18 at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET. The distribution celebrates the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Mega Dimension bundle for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, with the special Spewpa capable of evolving into one of 16 different Vivillon patterns at random. Players simply need to raise Spewpa to level 12 to evolve it, although there’s no way to choose which pattern they’ll receive. The giveaway is available on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and no paid Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required.

How to Download Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mystery Code
- Open the main menu and select Link Play.
- Select Mystery Gift.
- Select Get via Internet to connect to the internet.

The Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mystery Gift also launched alongside the Vivillon Challenge, which tasked players around the world with earning 660,000 Vivillon Points. Those points are earned by evolving Spewpa into Vivillon. Luckily, players managed to reach the requirement in just one day, unlocking a future distribution of the rare Pokeball Pattern Vivillon. The Pokemon Company hasn’t revealed when that reward will become available, but the community has already done its part. Importantly, the original Spewpa Mystery Gift remains available until November 18, even though the challenge has been completed.
Claiming the free Spewpa in Pokemon Legends: Z-A is also relatively straightforward. Players need to open the main menu, select Link Play, choose Mystery Gift, and then select Get via Internet. The Mystery Gift feature must first be unlocked through Mable’s Research, which generally takes about an hour of gameplay. An internet connection and a linked Nintendo Account are required, but there’s no need to enter a special code. Each save file can only receive the Spewpa once, meaning players hoping to collect all 16 patterns will need to obtain additional Spewpa by trading in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
The Pokemon Company has promised more information about the rare Pokeball Pattern Vivillon at a later date, so players will need to keep an eye out for another announcement. In the meantime, there’s still time to claim the current Mystery Gift, with November 18 being the important deadline for anyone who doesn’t want to miss out.
