Pokemon Legends: Z-A has officially announced a new upcoming release for August 6, and it includes a Pokemon Winds and Waves teaser. Pokemon Legends: Z-A was released in October of last year and enjoyed some success, though it was criticized for its removal of turn-based combat, lack of voice acting, and long tutorial. Still, the game was very innovative for the series, and it has been getting new updates regularly since shortly after its launch. Now, a brand-new update is coming, and not only is it a pretty big shift from the usual ones, but it comes with a Gen 10 teaser.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Introduces Water-Only Season and New Rewards With Pokemon Winds and Waves Teaser
- Season 14 ends on August 6, 2026, at 6:59 pm PDT/9:59 pm ET
- Season 15 starts on August 6, 2026, at 11:00 pm PDT/August 7, 2026, at 2:00 am ET
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is releasing Season 15 on August 6, completely changing the ruleset to only allow Water-type Pokemon and introducing new rewards. In Season 15, players will only be able to use Water-type Pokemon after Season 14’s ruleset of only Flying-type Pokemon, which is yet another direct tease at Pokemon Winds and Pokemon Waves, respectively. Pokemon Winds and Waves are releasing in 2027, and some fans are taking this as a sign that a new trailer is on the horizon. This seems especially plausible because Pokemon Scarlet and Violet released Water-type events alongside Season 14 in Legends: Z-A, and Pokemon games often have a new trailer or more information revealed over the summer, particularly in August and/or at the World Championships.
