PlayStation 5 gamers will soon have a lot more games to play, as at least nine higher-profile titles are on deck for February 2026. February seems to get busier every year when it comes to new game releases, and if the new PS5 games coming out next month are any indication, that pattern is going to continue.
The PS5 is the most popular video game console on the market right now, and for good reason. While it was slow to get its own full-blown exclusive games, the PS5 has since built an impressive library of titles, with Game of the Year winner Astro Bot under its belt and adding titles like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei to its exclusives lineup just last year. There are no pure PS5 exclusives releasing in February 2026, but there are still plenty of games to look forward to, including two titles published by chief competitor Xbox.

Soulslike game Nioh 3 will release for PS5 on February 6 as a console exclusive, and if its predecessors are any indication, it should make for a fantastic addition to the console’s library. Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is scheduled to release on February 12, while both High on Life 2 and Reanimal are on deck for February 13. Xbox-published action-RPG Avowed is coming to PS5 on February 17, with fellow Xbox-published side-scrolling beat ’em up Towerborne following it on February 26. Finally, the highly-anticipated Resident Evil Requiem will release for PS5 on February 27.

There’s a little something for everyone when it comes to the new PS5 games releasing in February 2026. Starsand Island will do a great job filling the cozy game niche, giving fans of games like Stardew Valley something fresh to play on their PS5. Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined should prove to be a nostalgic throwback to the franchise’s glory days, while Nioh 3 will give those looking for a tough-as-nails Soulslike experience something new to master.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties has the task of making one of the least-popular Yakuza games better, but it looks like it’s coming out swinging. High on Life 2 should be a hilarious sci-fi FPS, and Reanimal from the Little Nightmares team seems like it will be great for horror fans looking for a co-op game to play.
The two Xbox games coming to PS5 in February are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Microsoft-owned games coming to PlayStation this year. But they should do a great job at getting the ball rolling, with PS5 gamers having the chance to check out Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed as well as Stoic’s beat ’em up Towerborne.
The headliner when it comes to new PS5 games releasing in February 2026 is undoubtedly Resident Evil Requiem. Resident Evil Requiem, aka Resident Evil 9, will blend the action-horror of Resident Evil 4 with the survival-horror of Resident Evil 7 to create a brand-new experience for franchise fans. It looks incredibly promising, and should prove to be one of the biggest new game releases of the year when it’s all said and done.
February 2026 is going to be an incredibly busy month for PS5 gamers, and it will be exciting to see how all these new game releases turn out.
