The next big update for Pokemon Legends: Z-A is right around the corner, coming when Ranked Battles Season 10 comes to an end on May 13 at 7 pm PT/10 pm ET. 10 Seasons in, Pokemon Legends: Z-A players are no doubt aware of how each season works, but they should be prepared for the upcoming reset back to Rank Z.
For anyone just now delving into the game, though, it’s worth mentioning that Ranked Battle Seasons typically last roughly three weeks. Pokemon Legends: Z-A Ranked Battles Season 10 began on April 22, the same night as Season 9 ended, and the same can be expected for Season 11 on May 13. As one ends, the other begins, and anyone who has yet to hit their goals ought to make sure they do. Season 11 will bring with it some changes either way.
It’s Officially the End of an Era for Pokemon
Development of the Pokemon games has permanently changed, and for all its pros and cons, it’s unlikely to be a temporary situation.

Meanwhile, players of course receive a reward for every battle they participate in and can obtain some Mega Stones while at it. Anyone who participated in Ranked Battles before the latest season will already have most, if not all of these, but they will no doubt be available in Season 11 as well. The exact line-up will be determined, but if Pokemon Legends: Z-A Season 9 and Season 10 Mega Stones are any indication, it’ll likely be a repeat of Greninjite, Delphoxite, Chesnaughtite, Baxcalibrite, Sceptilite, Swampertite, and Blazikenite stones.
The Biggest Change in Pokemon Legends: Z-A Season 11?
What could potentially amount to the biggest change in Pokemon Legends: Z-A Season 11 is the meta. Perhaps Season 11 will be a special meta/Ranked Battles season similar to Pokemon Legends: Z-A Season 8, where players were more limited by which Pokemon could be entered. It’s possible, but uncertain. Season 10 only prohibited 7 Pokemon from Ranked Battles: Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Mewtwo, Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza, some of which are from Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Mega Dimensions DLC. It’d be nice to see the meta be shaken a little more, particularly because Ranked Battles are quite stale at this point. Between repeat rewards and an established meta, something like a more exhaustive ban list would force players to be more creative.

Overall, it remains to be seen. But between wrapping up Season 10, hitting Rank A (or whatever Rank you wish), claiming those rewards, preparing for/delving right into Season 11, and/or preparing a team for the new season meta (hopefully), fans can expect a very busy May 13. Until then, they’ve got time to get ahead and wrap it up.
