The Last of Us Powerlines Officially Revealed

The Last of Us ‘Powerlines’ has just been revealed by Cook and Becker. ‘Powerlines’ is a piece of official Last of Us Part 2 concept artwork that depicts Ellie and Joel riding horses against a deep sunset with towering powerlines stretching overhead, and fans can purchase the limited-edition print now.

Founded in 2011, Cook and Becker specializes in high-quality, often limited-edition pieces of video game artwork. These pieces are often created by the artists who have worked on the games that the art is depicting. According to Cook and Becker’s website, the company currently works with almost 50 major video game partners, including huge companies like Capcom, Bandai Namco, Sony, Ubisoft, CD Projekt Red, BioWare, and Blizzard among many others. As well as art prints, Cook and Becker sells an assortment of books and vinyls, such as the ‘Art and Music of South of Midnight’ set.

The Last of Us Powerlines Artwork Is Available Now

Back in 2019, Cook and Becker released ‘Powerlines’, a piece of concept art taken from the then-unreleased Last of Us Part 2 made by artist Robby Johnson. Johnson used to be the Principal Concept Artist at Naughty Dog but is now Lead Concept Artist over at NVIDIA. This high-quality art print sold out very quickly back in 2019, with just 100 prints available at the time. But now Last of Us fans are being given another opportunity to nab this art for themselves.

Cook and Becker has just announced a legacy re-release of The Last of Us Powerlines. This re-release is slightly smaller than the original, measuring in at 10 inches high and 24 inches wide, excluding the white borders surrounding the print. The print itself will be a Certified Art Giclée print that’s hand-numbered, embossed, and will come with a certificate of authenticity. The Last of Us Powerlines costs $145, and the estimated shipping cost of $25 will bring the total up to around $170. Though there are more pieces available this time around, the run is still limited to just 150 pieces overall, so fans eager to pick up this artwork will need to act fast.

This Powerlines piece is part of a larger Cook and Becker Last of Us fine art collection. There are around 17 pieces in this Last of Us Part 2 art collection, most of which are similar high-quality, “museum-grade” prints inspired by The Last of Us Part 2‘s concept art. For a similar price, fans can pick up pieces inspired by The Last of Us Part 2‘s Seattle, Santa Barbara Suburbs, the WLF Checkpoint, and Ellie and Dina’s farm homestead.

Another official Last of Us video game hasn’t been confirmed by either PlayStation or Naughty Dog, and given that the studio is deep into development on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, it seems unlikely that fans will see a new entry in the popular post-apocalyptic series anytime soon. Though it hasn’t been confirmed to appear, it’s possible that fans might see more from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet at Sony’s State of Play on June 2.
