A YouTuber recently decided to walk into the Rockstar Games studio that’s currently working on Grand Theft Auto 6. The GTA 6 stunt ended with the police getting involved, and the YouTuber has now talked about the incident.
May 26, 2026, was at one time the planned release date for GTA 6, but the game experienced another delay that moved it to its current schedule of launching on November 19, 2026. Fans have been waiting for GTA 6 for years, and since the game was originally intended to launch in 2025, the patience of some in the fanbase is wearing thin. May 26 was the end of an era for GTA 6, but the time of some fans’ machinations isn’t over yet.
GTA 6 Marketing Spotted in the Wild

YouTuber Quickly Gets Booted from Rockstar Games
YouTuber Ubergaming gained a lot of attention for a recent stunt that saw him and others suddenly go inside Rockstar North, which is where Grand Theft Auto 6 is being worked on. It wasn’t simply an opportunity of happenstance, as the content creator intended to “commemorate the day” GTA 6 was intended to release on by walking in, and purposefully chose to stay at the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood, which is directly across the street from Rockstar North. The YouTuber has shared some footage of him and his friends marching into the lobby of Rockstar North, but explained that it “only took seconds” before they got thrown out. However, it wasn’t over for the content creator yet, as the police then got involved.

According to the Ubergaming channel, after they left the lobby, the police arrived. The police apparently took down the information of the Ubergaming crew, and when they were asked why they wanted the information, the police explained that if anything from GTA 6 were leaked going forward, the authorities would be in contact with Ubergaming. Though it seems that the content creators didn’t do anything significant after walking through the front door, they are being viewed with suspicion for this stunt.
It’s not a surprise that Rockstar North called the authorities, nor that it’s being particularly protective of its intellectual property. GTA 6 has experienced multiple leaks at this point, including one that was acted out by a hacker who gained access through a developer Slack account and proceeded to dump early GTA 6 development videos on the internet. In another case, Rockstar employees were harassed on the street on their way to their job by a different content creator, demanding to know about the third trailer for the game. Tensions are probably already high at the studio as it approaches the game’s finish line, but incidents like these put the safety of developers in question.

Ubergaming and other outspoken individuals in the GTA 6 fan community seem to be frustrated that Rockstar didn’t share anything about the game on its intended release date of May 26. However, at the end of the day, Rockstar Games doesn’t owe impatient fans anything. Respecting GTA 6‘s developers and giving them the time and space they need to produce a game worthy of the GTA brand is all gamers need to do while they wait. Hassling them with stunts like these won’t speed up the process, and the developers are likely stressed enough as it is.
