Deltarune Chapter 5 has received an important new update that addresses several crashes and progression-blocking issues. The new release marks the second Deltarune patch since Chapter 5’s debut, with more expected to follow in the near future.
Deltarune 0.0.242 Update Reaches PC and Consoles
The latest Deltarune update rolled out June 27 across PC and consoles. Identified as version 0.0.242, the release fixes several crashes tied to late-game encounters, specific enemy interactions, and repeated actions that could trigger a memory leak in specific scenarios. The patch also resolves a black-screen issue caused by opening the pink door at Deltarune‘s Flower Castle from a particular position.

Available as of June 27, 2026:
- Fixed a crash towards the end of the game in an area with a yellow guy in the background.
- Fixed a crash involving a small glove.
- Fixed a crash when encountering a leaf enemy while leaving a room.
- Opening a pink door at a precise location no longer makes the screen go black.
- Magical glass was placed over a wall you’re not supposed to go over.
- Using Rudebuster in the final phase of a pink enemy no longer crashes the game.
- Fixed a crash if you put Ralsei in your party before sleeping in bed to skip the intro.
- Fixed a crash when Trashy Trio are defeated.
- Fixed a memory leak which could crash the game if certain actions were repeated an excessive number of times.
Deltarune Chapter 5 Version 0.0.241 Patch Notes
Available as of June 25, 2026:
- Fixed an issue where, towards the end of a boss, when the music becomes slow, flirting would softlock the game.
- Fixed a softlock when pressing Z&X simultaneously when interacting with a disappearing fox. Also fixed another bug in the same scenario.
- Fixed a crash when knives spawn from an aqua-colored enemy, and after said enemy is defeated.
- Fixed a crash when collecting candy from a green-colored enemy.
- Fixed a situation where Kris could be gigantic and the game was unplayable if you had modified your save file in a previous Chapter.
- The last boss of the chapter becomes gradually easier after losing an excessive amount of times in one play session.
