Xbox Game Pass Losing 12 Games on July 15

Xbox Game Pass Losing 12 Games on July 15

Xbox Game Pass is losing 12 titles on July 15. The list of upcoming departures, which may even be incomplete, will mark the largest wave of Xbox Game Pass removals in several years.

Microsoft’s subscription service lost exactly 62 games in the first half of 2026. The most recent wave of departures came at the end of June, when eight titles left Xbox Game Pass. That catalog rotation was especially notable because it included Payday 2, which had been part of the service since its early days, for more than nine years.

Another 12 titles are now reportedly set to follow suit on July 15, according to the newly updated “Leaving Soon” section of the Xbox app’s Game Pass tab. The list of upcoming departures includes Golf With Your Friends, My Friendly Neighborhood, Super Fantasy Kingdom, PowerWash Simulator, Whiskerwood, Tectonica, and Stellaris. Ditto for Back to the Dawn, Dungeons of Hinterberg, Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, and EA Sports FC 24. Splitgate: Arena Reloaded is also listed among the upcoming departures, though this particular title is a special case on account of being a free-to-play experience. Instead of the game itself, what is actually leaving the service are the Splitgate: Arena Reloaded goodie packs, which Xbox Game Pass users have been able to claim as one of their many perks since late 2025.

Dungeons of Hinterberg and Back to the Dawn are not showing up as “leaving soon” in all countries, raising the possibility they will stick around until at least July 31, 2026.

Apart from Splitgate: Arena Reloaded (originally known as Splitgate 2), two other things are unusual about the mid-July 2026 departure wave. Both Back to the Dawn and Dungeons of Hinterberg are only showing up as “leaving soon” for some subscribers as of July 2. While this appears to vary by country, Microsoft has so far been fairly consistent about removing Game Pass titles globally. That makes a regional-only departure unlikely. Back to the Dawn was originally added to Xbox Game Pass in July 2025, while Dungeons of Hinterberg spent one year longer on the service.
