Pokemon TCG Pocket officially reveals Ruler of the Skies, available starting July 29. As the latest Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion shows, 2026 is a huge year for Pokemon, as the series celebrates 30 years since the release of Pokemon Red and Green in Japan in 1996. New Pokemon games, DLCs, expansions, card sets, in-game events, and spin-offs are being announced all the time as a result. Pokemon TCG Pocket is in the same boat, with yet another set launching as early as next week, between July 29 and July 30, depending on time zones.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Officially Reveals New Expansion For July 29
Pokemon TCG Pocket‘s Ruler of the Skies is an expansion themed around Rayquaza and Mega Rayquaza, as the title suggests, and it launches on July 29, 2026, at 6 pm PDT. The expansion features Mega Rayquaza Ex as its face card, which comes with 180 HP and the Mega Burst attack, requiring a Fire and Lightning Energy to be used, then discarding all Energy of these types from Mega Rayquaza to deal 50 damage for each. Notably, Mega Rayquaza Ex has no weakness and a retreat cost of one. The expansion also adds Mega Gallade Ex and Mega Metagross Ex, which will likely be very popular among fans.
