Pokemon Scarlet and Violet officially announced eight new events for August 2026. While Pokemon Winds and Waves are on the horizon, the games will launch sometime in 2027, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will remain actively supported in the meantime. This doesn’t apply to all aspects of the games, though, as Season 41 was the last official season for Gen 9 games, and now Pokemon Champions carries the torch for VGC content. Still, fans can expect more content for Gen 9, as evidenced by a new announcement.
August 6 will mark the end of an era for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as the current 7-Star Tera Raid event for Mightiest Mark Magikarp will come to a close with no rerun of the starter event for Meowscarada, Skeledirge, and Quaquaval. Starting on January 8, 2026, Gen 9 games hosted a weekly rerun of the starter event, including all starter Pokemon in the series from Venusaur to Hisuian Samurott, but Meowscarada, Skeledirge, and Quaquaval didn’t get their share. Now that eight more events are planned, it’s clear that they won’t.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Announce 8 New Events From August 7 to September 3
- Glimmet and Glimmora Event: Runs from August 7 to August 13, features 7-Star Glimmora Raid (Mightiest Mark) and Glimmet and Glimmora Mass Outbreaks (increased shiny odds)
- Mankey, Primeape, and Annihilape Event: Runs from August 14 to August 20, features 7-Star Annihilape Raid (Mightiest Mark) and Mankey, Primeape, and Annihilape Mass Outbreaks (increased Angry Mark odds)
- Girafarig and Farigiraf Event: Runs from August 21 to August 27, features 7-Star Farigiraf Raid (Mightiest Mark) and Girafarig and Farigiraf Mass Outbreaks (increased Intellectual Mark odds)
- Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit Event: Runs from August 28 to September 3, features 7-Star Kingambit Raid (Mightiest Mark) and Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit Mass Outbreaks (increased Charismatic Mark odds)
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are getting eight all-new events for the month of August 2026. The first two events are about Glimmet and Glimmora, with the Pokemon appearing in Mass Outbreaks with increased shiny odds in Paldea, while a 7-Star Tera Raid featuring Grass Tera Glimmora is available. The second part of the event covers Mass Outbreaks for Mankey, Primeape, and Annihilape (Annihilape only appears in Kitakami) with boosted odds for the Angry Mark, as well as a 7-Star Tera Raid for Ghost Tera Annihilape.

The fifth and sixth events are for Mass Outbreaks dedicated to Girafarig (in Paldea) and Farigiraf (in the Blueberry Academy) with boosted odds for a Mark, and also a 7-Star Tera Raid for Fairy Tera Farigiraf. Finally, the seventh event includes Mass Outbreaks for Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit with boosted Mark rates (Kingambit only appears in Kitakami), and the eighth event is a 7-Star Tera Raid for Dark Tera Kingambit. Currently, Kingambit is one of the best Pokemon for double battles in Pokemon Champions, so fans may want to take that chance at the Mightiest Mark version to port over.
These events start immediately after the current Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Mightiest Mark Magikarp event and the various Mass Outbreaks for Water-type Pokemon. More events will likely be announced for September closer to the end of August, but for now, players have a lot to look forward to.
The franchise is still keeping celebrations going for the 30th anniversary. Between Pokemon Pokopia‘s DLC launching August 5, new Pokemon TCG Pocket expansions, Pokemon GO events, and Pokemon Legends: Z-A seasons, fans have a lot of catching up to do.
