One of Capcom’s best-selling remakes, 2023’s Resident Evil 4, is getting a pricey brand-new release in 2026. Since launch, the remake of Resident Evil 4 has received several official releases, including the $9.99 Separate Ways DLC and a free update that added The Mercenaries mode. However, this upcoming $1,699 release will be different.
According to the developer, the Resident Evil 4 remake has sold over 16 million copies since launch. Many argue that part of its success comes from its faithful recreation of the original’s core mechanics and portrayal of protagonist Leon S. Kennedy without unnecessary changes to his personality or appearance. Now, a new Resident Evil 4 release takes these strengths of the remake and turns them into precious memorabilia.
Resident Evil 4 Remake Diorama Launches in 2026
A new 3D statue by Prime 1 Studio depicts Resident Evil 4’s Leon facing off against the infamous Chainsaw Villager and a Ganado. The special agent appears to be cornered while wearing his iconic leather jacket, which later makes a cameo in one of Separate Ways DLC’s Merchant requests. The waitlist for Prime 1 Studio’s ¼-scale statue is now open, with a current price tag of $1,699. According to the manufacturer, the product is expected to ship between September and December 2026.

Prime 1 Studio is also planning to release a cheaper $1,000 version of the diorama that ditches the Chainsaw Villager and the Ganado, featuring only the protagonist on the stand.
Resident Evil 4 Remake Diorama Has So Many Nods to the Game
Prime 1 Studio’s statue seems inspired by a scene from the Resident Evil 4 remake’s first chapter, where Leon is ambushed by villagers. However, a closer look reveals many more details tucked into the design. For instance, a First Aid Spray can be seen on the ground next to one of RE4’s well-known Blue Medallions. The back also features the Los Iluminados emblem. Players can also spot a shotgun and a handgun ammunition box, a Merchant request, and an egg-laying chicken, all of which are widely recognized aspects of the game.

The Resident Evil 4 diorama comes in two editions: Standard and Bonus. The Standard bundle includes two interchangeable heads for Leon, one with a closed mouth and the other with an open mouth. It also features two swappable hands with two Resident Evil 4 remake weapons: the nostalgic SG-09 R, Leon’s starter handgun, and the Combat Knife, which was introduced in the remake. The Bonus Edition adds the Fighting Knife, a weapon Leon acquires after defeating his former mentor, Jack Krauser.
The manufacturer says, “This statue captures the clash of life and death in the world of Resident Evil 4, depicting the intense battle between Leon and his nemesis.” Prime 1 Studio is a renowned Japanese maker of dioramas and licensed collectibles that has worked with several top-notch AAA games, including Horizon Forbidden West and The Last of Us. Fortunately, the brand ships worldwide, so fans in the US and Europe should be able to order Leon’s eye-catching statue.
