THQ Nordic recently confirmed that the publisher and its subsidiaries have a staggering 29 games in development, with 12 of those still being unannounced. The announcement came amidst other news about THQ Nordic’s upcoming games during the company’s August 2026 Digital Showcase.
THQ Nordic stands as one of the biggest publishers in the gaming industry, with 16 subsidiary studios under its umbrella. The studio been involved with a number of popular franchises, often working on remakes and remastered versions of classic games like Gothic and Alone in the Dark. THQ Nordic recently brought the remake of classic PS2-era action game Destroy All Humans to the Nintendo Switch 2, with the sequel, Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed, is similarly coming to the Switch 2 later in 2026. Now, THQ Nordic has even more games in the pipeline, including a multitude of games that have not been officially revealed.

THQ Nordic gave fans a teaser of the many games in production by the developer and its subsidiaries during the August Digital Showcase. The publisher confirmed that it has an impressive 29 games in production, including highly-anticipated games like Darksiders 4 and Titan Quest 2. THQ Nordic revealed that the company also has 12 new games in production that have not been officially announced, though no information was given about the 12 mystery games during the presentation. THQ Nordic did not give a timeframe for when the publisher will fully reveal any of the unannounced games.
The annual Digital Showcase included plenty of news about a variety of upcoming games from THQ Nordic and its subsidiaries. The hour-long event gave fans a brand-new look at Expeditions: Samurai, with the role-playing game officially releasing in early access alongside the presentation. THQ Nordic teased fans with more news about the Gothic series, with Gothic 2 Classic and Gothic 3 Classic scheduled to launch in September and November, respectively. The publisher also showed off more Switch 2 ports launching in 2026, including SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide and Sacred 2 Remaster.
THQ Nordic also quietly dropped a brand-new DLC for a popular horror game during the Digital Showcase. Reanimal received its first major DLC, The Prisoner, as a surprise release alongside the presentation. The Reanimal DLC gives players two more characters to choose from, with the Soldier and the titular Prisoner, alongside new locations and a new story chapter. The DLC also added new bosses for players to challenge, such as the Flamethrower Soldier and The Mother. Reanimal is set to receive two more DLC releases, with the second launching in late 2026 and the third in early 2027.
THQ Nordic looks to have a whole host of exciting games in the pipeline for fans of the publisher’s many studios. The publisher’s upcoming projects span a variety of genres, from Nine Rocks Games’ hunting simulator Way of the Hunter 2 to early-access racing game Wreckfest 2. THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp’s remaster of beloved Disney game Epic Mickey is also set to receive multiple new releases, with Android and iOS versions launching in September and a Switch 2 version of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed debuting in October. THQ Nordic has plenty in store for gamers with a variety of tastes in games during the coming months.
