Grand Theft Auto 6 leaker Cyberleek is seemingly trying to sell ad space on their future scoops, albeit in a roundabout way. The move marks another unusual twist in the GTA 6 pre-release drama, which still appears to be far from over.
Cyberleek’s $165,000 Fee Does Not Include an Ad
An August 21 update to Cyberleek’s website introduced a new Contact tab with a button for generating the group’s “contact details.” In practice, it produces a unique password for accessing a new account on Session, an encrypted private messenger. The page also informs visitors of a fee requirement: 400 Monero (XMR) coins, valued at just over $165,000 based on late August 2026 exchange rates. The eye-watering figure does not include an ad, but merely a “guarantee” that the bold GTA 6 leaker would reach out via Session within 24 hours in order to discuss a potential collaboration.
GTA 6 Leaker’s Website Taken Down Over Copyright Infringement
The offer was short-lived. Not long after Cyberleek leaked gameplay featuring one of GTA 6‘s hypercars, its website, hosted on the “permanent cloud” Ar.io, was taken down. As of August 22, visiting the site produces a one-liner explanation: “requested content blocked by this node’s content policy.” The message indicates the site was blocked on account of all the copyright infringement stemming from the GTA 6 materials hosted on cyberleek.ar.io from August 18 through 21.
