September 15 is shaping up to be a rather devastating day for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as 10 games are scheduled to leave the service. Xbox Game Pass constantly has new games added, with a variety of older titles and brand-new, day one releases to keep fans busy. Unfortunately, Xbox Game Pass also loses games on occasion as well, with titles most often getting the boot on the 15th of the month and the last day of the month.
As one might imagine, September 2026 is no exception to the rule. In the same announcement where Microsoft confirmed the new Xbox Game Pass games coming in September 2026, it also revealed the games that are leaving the service. Unfortunately, the Xbox Game Pass September 2026 departures are especially devastating, with subscribers having to say goodbye to 10 games, including some of the best on the service.

- Dead Cells (Cloud, Console, and PC)

- Frostpunk 2 (PC)
- Mullet Madjack (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Spiritfarer (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Superliminal (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Train Sim World 5 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
On September 15, a whopping 10 games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass. On that day, Game Pass subscribers will have to say goodbye to Commandos: Origins, Cricket 24, Cyberpunk 2077, Dead Cells, Dead Rock Galactic Survivor, Frostpunk 2, Mullet Madjack, Spiritfarer, Superliminal, and Train Sim World 5. Any Game Pass subscribers wanting to at least try these games before they leave should make plans to do so ASAP, but there are some that you may want to give priority.

Cyberpunk 2077 had a rough launch, but it has since become one of the most beloved open world games of the last decade. Those willing to shell out cash for the Phantom Liberty expansion will have an even better time with Cyberpunk 2077, but a slew of substantial, completely free updates post-launch still make it a significantly better game than it was on release regardless. Dead Cells, meanwhile, is a tough-as-nails roguelike that is often hailed as one of the best in its genre.
Frostpunk 2 is a critically-acclaimed, award-winning city survival game that subscribers will no doubt be sad to see go, while Mullet Madjack is a throwback first-person shooter. Spiritfarer, however, may be the saddest game to see leave the Game Pass subscription service. An emotionally-charged, narrative-driven game about death, Spiritfarer is a remarkable and unique game that is even playable entirely in co-op.
While it’s definitely sad to see all these games go, the good news is that there are some major new Game Pass games on the way in the near future. In fact, the highly-anticipated Gears of War: E-Day will be hitting Game Pass as a day one game next month, so between that and the various other games on the way, subscribers should have plenty to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead.
