Nintendo Switch Online has become a convenient way for players to revisit games from some of the company’s most recognizable consoles, with the Game Boy Advance catalog now expanding with three new games. The subscription service’s growing collection of classic games gives Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 owners access to older releases that can otherwise be difficult to find, especially titles originally designed for handheld systems.
The Game Boy Advance library is particularly appealing for players looking to revisit the era of portable Nintendo gaming. For those interested, it’s worth noting that only Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can access these games without having to track down the original handheld hardware or cartridges.
Nintendo Switch Online New GBA Game List (October 2026)
- Monster Rancher Advance
- Metal Slug Advance
- Kururin Paradise
Nintendo has now officially added 3 certified classic Game Boy Advance games to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Monster Rancher Advance, Metal Slug Advance, and Kururin Paradise are all available to play through the Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics collection. The additions bring three very different experiences to Nintendo’s subscription service, giving players a monster-raising RPG, a run-and-gun action game, and a maze-based puzzle adventure to choose from.

Originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, Monster Rancher Advance puts players in the role of a monster breeder. The central appeal is raising, training, and battling creatures, with the standard progression path of improving monsters and preparing them for competition. Its mix of monster management and RPG-style gameplay makes it a different kind of handheld adventure from the action-focused games also available through Nintendo’s retro library.
For players who prefer faster action, Metal Slug Advance brings the series’ signature side-scrolling shooting to Nintendo Switch Online. First released in 2004, the game sends players through enemy-filled stages armed with firearms, explosives, and powerful weapons, with opportunities to pilot the series’ recognizable armored vehicles. Its hostage-rescue objectives and collectible cards add extra goals to the gameplay loop. Meanwhile, Kururin Paradise offers a more unusual challenge: players guide a constantly rotating craft called the Helirin through narrow mazes, carefully avoiding walls and obstacles. Interestingly, this is the first time Kururin Paradise has been made available in North America.
All three Game Boy Advance games are now part of the Nintendo Classics lineup for eligible Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers. Their arrival gives members another reason to revisit the service’s retro catalog, whether they want to train monsters, shoot through enemy territory, or navigate a maze without clipping the walls. Each game offers a distinct take on handheld gaming, and all three are available to play as part of the subscription rather than as separate purchases.
