Pokemon Pokopia has officially confirmed that Part 2 of its paid DLC, Dazzling Decorations, will be released on December 9, 2026. Within its first year, Pokemon Pokopia has become one of the franchise’s most popular titles, and now its next expansion is bringing more Pokemon, dress-up features, and more.
Soon after its release in March, Pokemon Pokopia became one of Pokemon‘s highest-rated games ever with a solid 89 rating. A few months later, the game surpassed 5 million units sold, making it one of the top-selling games for Nintendo Switch 2. The milestone coincided with the August 5 launch of Pokemon Pokopia‘s first expansion, Bubbly Basin. The paid DLC added a whole underwater town for fans to explore, along with a plethora of new decorations and Pokemon. Now, the game’s next major DLC has finally set a release date.
Pokemon Pokopia DLC Part 2 Release Date
Pokemon Pokopia‘s next expansion, dubbed Dazzling Decorations, is coming on December 9, 2026. This is Part 2 of its three-part paid Expansion Pass, following Bubbly Basin. Dazzling Decorations will add the highly anticipated dress-up feature, letting fans accessorize their befriended Pokemon with bows, hats, sunglasses, and more. Additionally, Pokemon Pokopia‘s DLC 2 is adding more Pokemon, including the confirmed Doduo, Skitty, Braixen, and Snubbull. Players need to update their game to version 3.0.0 to play Dazzling Decorations.
Before players can enjoy Dazzling Decorations, they first need to complete three missions located in Withered Wastelands, starting with raising the area’s environment level and rebuilding its Pokemon Center. Both of these quests can be finished quite early in the game. The third requirement is completing Driffloon’s doll-finding quest in Pokemon Pokopia, which also unlocks Dream Islands. Players who own Pokopia‘s Expansion Pass can also obtain additional gifts such as a recipe for Ditto-themed print blocks and wallpaper. The paid DLC also rewards a redeem code for 30 rare Pokemetal ingots, which are available until August 31, 2027.

Earlier leaks suggested that 24 new Pokemon are coming to Pokemon Pokopia with the Dazzling Decorations DLC. Among the rumored creatures are Delibird, Swirlix, Alcremie, as well as Caterpie, Turtwig, and Fennekin’s evolutionary lines. The Legendary Pokemon Cresselia is also reportedly making its debut, so there’s a chance that Dazzling Decorations will feature a new major questline. The Pokemon Company will likely reveal more official information about future pocket monsters in the coming weeks.
Unlike Bubbly Basin, the Dazzling Decorations expansion is not adding a new explorable town to Pokemon Pokopia. Part 3 of the Expansion Pass will, though, as confirmed by the dev team. The third DLC has a release window for 2027, but fans may have to wait a few more months for a first look at the new town. In the meantime, the remainder of 2026 will be an exciting time for Pokemon Pokopia. The game was nominated for Game of the Year at the Golden Joysticks, and some fans expect it to compete at The Game Awards in the same category as well.
