How to Get Twine in Pokopia

Summary

  • Twine is a core crafting resource for furniture, Ditto Flags, habitats, and decorative items.
  • Best sources: cut spider webs and textile garbage in Rocky Ridges; also drops from Bug-types (Ariados, Spinarak).
  • Reach Trainer Rank Great (complete Important Requests) and scan the Pokédex to unlock Rocky Ridges.

Nintendo’s newest life sim, Pokopia, is Pokemon meets Animal Crossing and collecting resources is a significant part of the gameplay. While some are created with the help of Pokemon, others can be found around the island.

Twine is used in several important crafting recipes in Pokopia and can be found using several methods. Twine is collected from natural resources around the biomes or dropped by Pokemon. One of the first places to get Twine in Pokopia is in the Rocky Ridges.

Time to Party Quest Guide for Pokopia (How to Raise the Mood)

Let’s get the curry party going in Pokopia with this guide.

How to Get Twine in Pokopia

Pokopia players can find Twine by destroying spider webs or garbage piles. Spider webs are more common and are found in corners and near boxes in the Rocky Ridges area. Players can get access to the Rocky Ridges by going through the Area Gate in the northwest part of the Withered Wasteland.

The gate is locked, but players can scan their Pokedex for access. They will need a Trainer Rank of Great or higher to unlock the gate.

Walk near spider webs and textile garbage and use the move Cut to collect the Twine. Cut is learned early on when players find a Scyther. Players must ensure they have XP if they want to collect a lot of Twine. XP is restored by eating food such as Leppa Berries and Fresh Carrots.

Scyther appears in Habitats that include Grass and Leppa Berry Trees. Once players learn Cut, they’ll be able to access new areas and collect resources.

Another way to get Twine is from certain Bug-type Pokemon including:

  • Ariados
  • Larvesta
  • Spinarak
  • Volcarona

These Pokemon have the Litter Specialty and will drop Twine near their Habitats, similarly to how Combee drops Honey.

Spinarak and Ariados spawn in Yellow Tall Grass. Players can get Yellow Tall Grass by placing a Smooth Rock near grass or by placing the Dry Field Grass blocks to get dryer grass. Larvesta and Volcarona are slightly harder to find and spawn in Tree-shaded Graceful Flower Bed Habitats which include one PointyTree and four Mountain Flowers. Pointy Trees are commonly found in the Rocky Ridges area.

Players can also purchase Twine from the PC Shop, but the spawn rate is low. The quickest way to get Twine is through textile garbage piles and spider webs.

How to Increase Trainer Rank

Trainer Rank will increase as players find new Pokemon, complete quests, and raise Pokemon friendship. Essentially, completing Important Requests, which happens as players naturally progress, is the only way to ensure the Trainer Rank goes up.

Great rank can be reached by completing the “Yawn up a Storm!” Important Request. As players unlock more Area Gates, they’ll learn more moves, discover Pokemon, and new Habitats.

What is Twine Used for in Pokopia

Pokopia How to Use Twine Ditto Flag

Twine is used to craft furniture and other important items in Pokopia, including the Ditto Flag. Players will need Ditto Flags to claim a hut or house they build. They can then fast travel to the area using the home base. Once a home has a flag, players can also invite other Pokemon to live there with them.

Other items that use Twine include awnings, chairs, sandbags, and more that are used to create Habitats or decorate. The more decorations players place, the better their Environment Level becomes, so they can unlock more Challenges and Items on the PC.
