PC Users Have Until March 19 to Get Cozy Life Sim Game Absolutely Free of Charge

PC users can claim the expansive, yet cozy life simulation game Cozy Grove until March 19. What’s more, Cozy Grove is optimized for short sessions of gameplay each day across weeks and months, meaning the relaxation value while chilling at your PC is sky high.

For the uninitiated, Cozy Grove sees players step into the shoes of a Spirit Scout as they explore a “haunted,” ever-changing island. That’s not to say Cozy Grove is one of those darker cozy games, just that its island is populated by spirits that players will need to soothe. Along the way, they’ll find hidden secrets, explore a hand-drawn environment, and partake in all sorts of cozy camp activities.

Claim Crozy Grove for Free

If someone is a fan of cozy games like Animal Crossing, then Cozy Grove is definitely worth checking out (especially while it’s free). It’s typically valued at $14.99, so while it’s not the biggest savings in the world, that money in your pocket might buy lunch. To claim it, all you need to do is navigate to Cozy Grove‘s EGS page, hit Get, and follow the on-screen instructions to play it. You have until March 19 at 8 am PT/11 am ET to do so.

While Pokopia may be the dominant cozy game right now, it’s easy to get lost and consumed by that game. Cozy Grove is designed a little differently. Similar to Animal Crossing, it is synced to real-world time and generates 30-60 minutes of new quest content each day. There’s a little something to do every day, and any other playtime can be spent befriending characters and spirits, collecting spirit animals, crafting decorations, fishing, and so forth. There is enough content, with side quests, to spend more than 40 hours in Cozy Grove, but paced in a more relaxing way across weeks, if not months.

You Can Also Claim Two More Free Games via EGS

In addition to Cozy Grove, there are two additional and noteworthy games available for free on EGS right now. Isonzo joins Cozy Grove as one of the free Epic Games Store games this week, but a developer has also discounted their game to be completely free for a few days.

  • Isonzo (Available for free until March 19 at 8 am PT/11 am ET)
  • Umm Oyoun (Available for free until March 16 at 3 pm PT/6 pm ET)

Isonzo is a World War 1 first-person shooter game focused on the historical offensives from the Sixth Battle of the Isonzo to the Stragexpedition. Players can experience authentic historical systems and gunplay, ranging from the flare systems to mountain guns, while assaulting mountain fortifications and crossing fording rivers. Players can choose between six classes based on real historical roles, building both an authentic loadout and appearance.

Finally, Umm Oyoun is an episodic narrative horror game. The developer notes that the game is still in development and only includes one chapter at this stage, with hopes that promotions and paid opportunities help it receive both financial and conceptual support for the final chapters. In it, players follow the story of a mother and her daughter in search of their husband/father, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances. It promises emotional depth, suspense, environmental exploration, puzzle solving, ghost chases, and more, and while it is not a particularly long game at this stage, players can check it out at absolutely no cost.

If none of these titles seem appealing, then the best advice is to keep an eye on storefronts like Steam and Epic Games Store. There seems to be more free or cheap games on Steam, as well as Epic Games Store, than ever before, and at the very least, that’ll be beneficial to some folks’ wallets.
