Final Fantasy 14 Reveals Hatching-Tide Easter Event For 2026

Hatching-tide returns to Final Fantasy 14 on March 23, bringing with it six charming Easter-themed eyeglass facewear glamours, as well as some house furnishings in the form of eggs, Easter baskets, and paintings. These cosmetics will be free to obtain for the duration of Hatching-tide, after which Final Fantasy 14 players can use them all year round.

Within the world of Final Fantasy 14, Hatching-tide is the in-game analog to Easter. A relatively new event in the universe, Hatching-tide was started by a Miqo’te named Jihli Aliapoh after she had a dream in which the Twelve appeared to her astride decorated eggs. Known as “The Dreamer,” Jihli has acted as the primary quest giver for Hatching-tide throughout Final Fantasy 14’s history.

From March 23 at 1 AM PT until April 6 at 7:59 AM PT, Hatching-tide returns to Final Fantasy 14 once more, featuring a holiday quest and new rewards. To start this quest, a character only needs to be level 15, meaning players on the free trial of Final Fantasy 14 should have no trouble participating. Simply navigate to Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre holiday event venue in Old Gridania and speak to the Stylish Dreamer to get started.

Though she may not be immediately recognizable, the Stylish Dreamer is actually Jihli Aliapoh herself. The NPC almost always wears an egg cap that conceals her hair, but during the 2018 and 2019 Hatching-tide events, Jihli removed it, revealing that she has the same blue and white hair as this year’s Stylish Dreamer. While veteran Warriors of Light might recognize her right away, fans who joined in the last couple of years may be surprised to see her in a different outfit than usual.

It is important to remember that these Hatching-tide glasses are facewear items, a new type of cosmetic introduced in Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail. Rather than taking the entire head slot, these items can be mixed and matched with most headgear, allowing characters to wear hats or hairpins while donning spectacles simultaneously.

What’s Coming Next For Final Fantasy 14?

With no major holidays in May, June, or July, Final Fantasy 14 fans won’t have any regularly-scheduled events to look forward to for a while after Hatching-tide. However, the first part of Final Fantasy 14’s Patch 7.5 arrives on April 28, meaning players can probably expect a Moogle Treasure Trove event in the weeks leading up to it, as well as a potential Make It Rain Campaign in May or June.

Beyond that, Final Fantasy 14 fans can also look forward to FanFest throughout the year, the first of which takes place on April 24. This convention event will almost certainly include the reveal of the next expansion for the critically-acclaimed MMO. Additionally, the second Patch 7.5 Live Letter from the Producer will arrive a week or two beforehand, giving players a closer look at the final major content update of Dawntrail.
