Fallout fans have just under a week to buy the franchise’s best entry, Fallout: New Vegas, on Steam for less than a dollar. The discount on Fallout: New Vegas includes just the base version of the hit game, though the Ultimate Edition is also available at a low price for Fallout fans to consider.
Originally released in October 2010, Fallout: New Vegas is the only Fallout title to date that was developed by Obsidian Entertainment. At launch, Fallout: New Vegas was criticized for bugs and other technical issues. Over time, the perception of New Vegas changed, and it is considered by many to be the best game in the series, with an overwhelmingly positive 96% rating on Steam. In Fallout: New Vegas, players control The Courier and can join one of the game’s four major factions during their playthrough. Although factions like Caesar’s Legion would not be practical regimes in reality, each choice the player makes in Fallout: New Vegas can impact one faction or another in different ways.
Day One Xbox Game Pass Game Officially Confirmed for April 21
Yet another day one launch has been officially confirmed for Xbox Game Pass’ April 2026 line-up.
Fallout: New Vegas Is Available for Next to Nothing
With the 2026 Steam Spring Sale now underway, PC gamers can pick up one of the best RPGs on Valve’s storefront for an eye-catching low price. Fallout: New Vegas is available for just $0.99 on Steam, before taxes and fees are applied. The 99-cent price tag is a 90% discount on Fallout: New Vegas‘ base price of $9.99 and is valid from now until the Steam Spring Sale ends on Thursday, March 26. The discount also applies to Metro: Last Light Redux. Other titles, such as Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, Worms W.M.D, and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, can also be bought on Steam for less than $2 each while the sale lasts. However, the 99-cent price on Fallout: New Vegas only applies to the base release, and does not cover any post-launch DLC or expansions. That said, the base game is sufficient to download and install mods that Fallout: New Vegas players have created since the game’s initial launch.

Alternatively, players who want to experience all that the Mojave Wasteland has to offer can purchase Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition, which is discounted to $4.99 for the Steam Spring Sale, a 75% discount off its standard $19.99 price point. It includes the base game and six pieces of downloadable content, such as the Old World Blues expansion and the Courier’s Stash item pack. Each piece of Fallout: New Vegas DLC has different unlock requirements, so newer players should check to see what is available to them upon setting foot in the harsh sands of the Mojave Wasteland for the first time.
Fallout: New Vegas Fans Still Want a Remake
Though Fallout: New Vegas is a fan-favorite title, that has not stopped Fallout fans from holding out hope for a remake or remaster of it. Although rumors about a remaster have persisted on social media for years, some rumors have since been quashed by game developers themselves. In February 2026, Iron Galaxy Studios claimed that it was not working on a Fallout: New Vegas remaster, though the company’s choice of words about “retreating to a vault” raised some eyebrows.
However, Fallout: New Vegas will soon get a re-release as part of the game’s 15th anniversary. The Fallout: New Vegas 15th Anniversary Edition Bundle will start shipping out to fans in June 2026 and includes some physical collectibles for fans to peruse. Pre-orders of Fallout: New Vegas 15th Anniversary Edition are still available for $154.99 on the Bethesda Gear Store, as of this writing. However, interested Fallout: New Vegas fans should not wait, as supplies of the anniversary bundle are limited, and certain delivery restrictions apply.
