Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 publisher Activision has pulled back the curtain on the tons of new content set to arrive with the shooter’s big Season 3 update next month, revealing an extensive roadmap for Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and the free-to-play Battle Royale counterpart, Warzone. The major Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone content update will be free to download on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC from Thursday, April 2.
Although the latest installment in the series received a mixed response from fans when it launched late last year, post-launch support for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has been nothing short of phenomenal. Each new season has brought tons of multiplayer maps, game modes, weapons, gameplay changes, bug fixes, and much more. And for those who prefer Zombies or the series’ new Endgame mode, there has also been plenty of support for the two as well. The most recent mid-season refresh saw the arrival of Paradox Junction, a new Zombies map that features the iconic Nuketown, but with a major twist. Now, just a few weeks later, Treyarch is gearing up to provide fans with yet another new Zombies map as part of the game’s Season 3 update.
Call of Duty’s Makarov Was a Villain That the Franchise Will Likely Never Top
Call of Duty fans debate why Makarov was a villain that the franchise will struggle to beat, no matter how hard it tries.
Call of Duty Reveals Season 3 Roadmap for Black Ops 7 and Warzone
Earlier today, Activision officially revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 3, a major content update that will arrive for both titles on Thursday, April 2. According to the official roadmap for the upcoming season, which can be seen above, Black Ops 7 players will have a total of nine multiplayer maps to check out during the course of Season 3, five of which will be available at launch. Fans will also be able to jump into the returning Demolition at launch, followed by Black Ops 6‘s Aim High mode set to return in Season 3 Reloaded, alongside a new Snipers Only playlist.

If that wasn’t enough, Treyarch has also cooked up a brand new game mode akin to Modern Warfare 3‘s Get High. Titled Freerun, players will be able to run and climb their way through Ascent, which is a brand-new map designed specifically for the new Freerun mode. Treyarch says the mode, which will arrive in the game’s mid-season update, pits ten racers in a sprint to the finish line. There will also be the chance to compete for additional rewards in a new Freerun event, which will also debut alongside Season 3 Reloaded.
In terms of weapons, the launch of Season 3 will see the arrival of the MK35 ISR, a fully automatic assault rifle with low recoil, excellent accuracy, and moderate damage. The VST, a new lightweight submachine gun with excellent mobility and handling, will also be joining the MK35 ISR in the Season 3 Battle Pass. Numerous other weapons, such as the Strider 300 sniper rifle, the 1911 pistol, and the Siren special weapon, will all be available in a mid-season event.
Those fond of Black Ops 7‘s Zombies experience will also have plenty to check out with Season 3, as the game’s mid-season update will add a brand-new map: Totenreich. The map is set in a remote Norwegian fishing town trapped in time after Group 935 experiments warped the entire island into the Dark Aether. As for Warzone fans, the upcoming season will see a major update to Verdansk, as the map is set to receive a new point of interest known as Launch Pad. After the success of Black Ops Royale, Raven Software is also bringing Avalon to the traditional Battle Royale experience, alongside some new modes, events, and much more.
