On April 1, Lenovo Gaming is doing a limited Steam Key Giveaway for Just Die Already that’ll see 10,000 lucky users get the $15 game at no cost. There are a multitude of ways to get free PC games online, from Steam’s Free to Keep promotion to Epic Games Store’s weekly giveaways, but Lenovo’s giveaways all too often go ignored.
Lenovo’s Legion Gaming Community platform often runs free game giveaways for popular, fun titles, often in the $15-$30 range. In the past, these have included every genre under the sun, from physics-based platforms to shooters, but always came in the form of limited Steam keys. In other words, this giveaway is on a first-come, first-served basis, so anyone interested in Just Die Already should be prepared to claim it on April 1.

For those unfamiliar, Just Die Already is described as an “old people mayhem sandbox game,” developed by the designers of Goat Simulator. In it, players are old people who get kicked out of their retirement home and must survive in a world that wants them to die. To retire, players must complete dangerous challenges to qualify for free retirement care, with everything and everyone (including the player) being breakable. These challenges range from launching yourself with a catapult at someone to using your own head as a weapon, and completing a plethora of zany Goat Simulator-like sandbox activities with giant trouts, trampolines, jetpacks, air horns, and much, much more. It supports up to 4 players.
There’s a PvP mode as well. Players can customize matches, play in 4 arenas, and compete in Old vs. Old mayhem.
How to Claim Just Die Already for Free
It’s recommended, before April 1 rolls around, to create Legion Gaming Community and Gamesplanet accounts (links below). There are a few extra steps here compared to a standard Steam game giveaway, but it’s not complicated. This will just help ensure you’re ready to claim a key before the 10,000 are all claimed; once they’re gone, they’re gone. The Steam key giveaway begins at 8 am PT/11 am ET on April 1, and it’s recommended that you join the queue as soon as possible.
- Log in/Create an Account on the Legion Gaming Community Site
- Visit the Event Page for the Just Die Already Giveaway
- Make sure your Steam account is linked to your Legion Gaming Community account (instructions on Event Page)
- Once through the line, you will have 10 minutes to claim your key.
- Click “claim” to unlock your key voucher. You may need to reload the page one time.
- Once you have your key voucher, redeem it on Gamesplanet for a Steam Key.
- Have an Unlimited Steam Account, meaning you’ve spent $5 on the platform before.
- Navigate to Steam –> Games –> Activate a Product on Steam
- Download and Play

This is a re-release of a prior giveaway, complete with more Steam Keys. The Event page mistakenly identifies an older giveaway that took place in February in a few places.
Because this giveaway happens on April 1, Just Die Already is a great way to spend the silliest day of the year. But if it isn’t your type of co-op game, then chances are that Steam or the Epic Games Store will add more free games in the coming weeks, if not days.
