FromSoftware’s Bloodborne is still regarded by many fans as the pinnacle of what a soulslike can be over a decade after it was originally released. While calls for a Bloodborne remake or remaster have yet to manifest anything tangible, that hasn’t stopped other Bloodborne media from being released in the meantime. In 2027, Bloodborne fans will be able to relive the experience of the cosmic horror hunt throughout the city of Yharnam with a new official release.
When Bloodborne was released back in 2015, FromSoftware already had a few soulslikes under its belt. But Bloodborne stood out from the developer’s previous titles for its gothic setting and fast-paced gameplay. Mechanics like the Insight system and Chalice Dungeons helped Bloodborne further establish its identity as separate from games like Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls, earning it a reputation that still precedes the game to this day.
Bloodborne Re-Release Officially Confirmed for 2027
Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Edition Figma from Good Smile is getting an official re-release in 2027 after an initial limited launch in 2022. This figure features Bloodborne‘s iconic player character, The Hunter, in a posable diorama that includes interchangeable weapons. Pre-orders for this figure are open now until November 10, and the figure is planned to ship between April 1 and June 30, 2027.

The player’s Hunter character in Bloodborne has the ability to wield both a trick weapon in one hand and a sidearm in the other. This Figma allows fans to recreate their own version of the Hunter with a variety of swappable weapons for the figure to hold. The Saw Cleaver and Hunter Pistol are the default Bloodborne weapons included with this Figma, but the Old Hunters Edition includes even more weapons based on those from the Bloodborne DLC.

Iconic DLC weapons like Ludwig’s Holy Blade, the Whirligig Saw, Hunter Axe, and Hunter Blunderbuss are also included in this release. The three main hand weapons include interchangeable parts to allow fans to display them in their transformed variations. The Whirligig Saw and Ludwig’s Holy Blade also come with special attachments so that they can be displayed on the Hunter’s back. With different swappable hands for the Hunter and their articulated joints, players can display this figure in nearly any pose they can imagine.
Unfortunately, for fans wanting a Bloodborne remake or sequel, the game itself is still in somewhat of a limbo. Despite the game’s success, it has yet to be followed up with any additional ports or remasters, much to the surprise of even former PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida. The ball is largely in FromSoftware’s court when it comes to producing anything new from Bloodborne, but the developer has been focused on major titles like Elden Ring and the upcoming Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods. Until a new game is announced, fans will have to be content with other Bloodborne-related media releases.
