PlayStation Plus subscribers have another freebie waiting for them, and this one is available to claim right now. While PS Plus is most known for its games catalogs/offerings across the Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers, it occasionally gives out more freebies, like the EA Sports FC26 PlayStation Plus Icons Pack or the Rocket League Premium Cosmetic Pack.
Of course, while subscribers on PS5 should be sure to snag this (some of it is available to PS4 users too, but not all), it’s worth noting that the free PS Plus games for August 2026 also recently went live. It’s an incredibly solid month, giving away games worth roughly $100 collectively. They include the open-world zombie game Dying Light 2: Stay Human, the co-op adventure game Big Walk, and the survival horror game Signalis. And now PS Plus subscribers picking up Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls can enjoy another freebie thanks to their subscription.

Alongside the launch of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls on PS5, Sony has released a free PlayStation Plus Pack that every subscriber can download, regardless of whether they’re on the Essential, Extra, or Premium tier. The bonus pack is available through August 6, 2027, and includes 5 exclusive PSN avatars featuring Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, and Ghost Rider, plus a collection of result screen character poses for 20 playable fighters. It’s a small download, but an easy extra for anyone jumping into the new Marvel fighter.

Claiming it is simple. The free content can be redeemed directly through the PlayStation Store’s PS Plus section (or through the PlayStation website), after which the avatars become available on a player’s PSN profile, and the result screen poses unlock immediately in-game. PS4 users can grab the PSN Avatars if that strikes their fancy, but given that Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is just on PS5, not its last-gen predecessor, the result screen poses are not claimable for those folks.
Since Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls requires PlayStation Plus for online multiplayer on PS5, its bread and butter, most players are already expected to have at least an Essential subscription. That’s all they need too, so the free pack is an easy free bonus for pretty much anyone planning to pick up the game. There is some single-player content, but Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls‘ online modes are where it’s at, especially after the beta’s reception.
Overall, fans can also expect continued support for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls post-release as well. Between this pack and Arc System Works’ dedication, it’s clear there’s a bright future ahead should it continue firing on all cylinders. It ultimately remains to be seen, but Marvel fans are definitely eating good between this new Marvel fighting game, the recent release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and the entire slate of things coming for the Marvel brand.
