While a proper release date still hasn’t been officially confirmed, the upcoming PS4 and PS5 ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 have just had their entire trophy lists leaked. And according to these leaked trophy lists, Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 might have removed some fan-favorite features that were present in the original PS3 versions.
Last month, Activision and developer Iron Galaxy announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 were coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Not a whole lot of information accompanied this announcement, but it was confirmed that these upcoming releases will be direct ports of the original Black Ops games and not any kind of remaster or remake. It’s still unconfirmed exactly when these ports are launching, how much they’ll cost, or what exactly is included with that purchase.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 Might Be Missing Wager Matches, Theater Mode, and League Play on PS4 and PS5
On June 7, full trophy lists for the PS5 and PS4 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 suddenly appeared on PSNProfiles. Generally speaking, these new trophy lists are almost identical to the original PS3 versions of each Black Ops game, though there have been some intriguing tweaks. As documented by ForwardLeaks on Twitter, two Black Ops 1 trophies have seemingly been removed in this upcoming PlayStation launch, those being the ‘Date Night’ trophy and the ‘In the Money’ trophy. While ‘Date Night’ originally asked players to watch a film or clip with a friend via Black Ops‘ Theater Mode, ‘In the Money’ tasked players with finishing five Wager Matches.

Though Call of Duty: Black Ops 2‘s new PS4 and PS5 trophy list doesn’t seem to feature any missing trophies, one has been changed significantly. The ‘Big Leagues’ trophy that originally tasked players with winning five League Play games after being placed in a division has been overhauled completely, with it now requiring players to simply start Call of Duty: Black Ops 2‘s main campaign. These removals and tweaks strongly suggest that these PS4 and PS5 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 will not include Wager Matches, Theater Mode, or League Play. It should be noted, however, that Activision and Iron Galaxy haven’t officially confirmed anything just yet, and that it’s possible these trophy lists were simply condensed.
Another interesting tidbit gleaned from these leaked trophy lists is that both Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 have separate trophy lists for each of their respective DLC packs, just like the original PS3 versions did. It’s still unclear if any DLC is included with these ports or if any previously purchased Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC will be transferable from the original games.

One final piece of information present in these trophy lists is that native PS5 ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 have seemingly been confirmed. According to the PSNProfiles listings, there’s separate trophy lists for the PS4 and PS5 versions of both Black Ops entries, hinting that the PS5 versions won’t simply be PS4 ports that are running via backwards compatibility.
