Escape From Tarkov Teases Potential New PvE Feature

Escape From Tarkov Teases Potential New PvE Feature

Battlestate Games is surveying Escape From Tarkov players about the possibility of adding Prestige mechanics to PvE gameplay. While there is no guarantee that the developer is committed to bringing Prestige into Escape From Tarkov‘s PvE, it’s an indication that it’s at least under consideration for the future.

As it stands, Escape From Tarkov already has a Prestige system, but it’s exclusive to the PvP side of the game. The mechanics work as expected, with six levels of Prestige that allow players to reset their progress in exchange for permanent rewards. Escape From Tarkov recently revealed how many players had reached the max Prestige rank, with only 593 players going all the way. Over 24,000 had managed to Prestige at least once, which, compared to the size of the player base, is still a pretty exclusive club. Prestige was first introduced to PvP in December 2024, and there is finally some indication that it will eventually come to PvE, too.

Escape From Tarkov Dev Reveals First Look at New Game

One of the lead developers behind Escape from Tarkov is showing off an exciting reveal trailer for a mysterious new sci-fi game.

Escape From Tarkov is Surveying Players About Potential PvE Prestige

Battlestate Games has launched a new in-game survey that Escape From Tarkov players can complete, focused on its Prestige system. One question, “What could motivate you to reach all Prestige levels?” features the answer, “Adding Prestige to PvE mode.” Another asks players directly how interested they would be in seeing the Prestige system come to Escape From Tarkov PvE in the future, allowing them to give their thoughts on the matter. Players who take part in the survey can earn a bunch of in-game rewards, including the UHF RFID reader.

This doesn’t mean that Prestige is definitely coming to PvE in Escape From Tarkov. However, it does show that it’s under consideration, and if enough players are interested, then it makes sense for the feature to make the jump in the future. Not every Escape From Tarkov update is exactly what players have wanted, so it’s good to see the developer listening to feedback to make the best choices possible for the extraction shooter.

Following its rough 1.0 launch last year, Escape From Tarkov is finding its feet again, making some big improvements to the extraction shooter experience in recent months. The game continues to enjoy a solid Steam player count, which is particularly impressive given its exclusivity to the Battlestate Games launcher for many years. Listening to player feedback is exactly what will continue to see Escape From Tarkov thrive for years to come.

While nothing is set in stone with regards to Prestige in PvE, there is a lot for Escape From Tarkov players to look forward to in the near future. Earlier this year, Battlestate Games revealed its 2026 roadmap for the game, including plans for new bosses and in-game events. After the 1.0 launch, the developer isn’t resting on its laurels with Escape From Tarkov, and is evidently committed to its continued improvement in the long term. Given the recent surge in popularity for the extraction shooter genre thanks to games like ARC Raiders and Marathon, there’s no better time for the game to thrive.
