Every Character Revealed for GTA 6 So Far (and What We Know About Them)

Every Character Revealed for GTA 6 So Far (and What We Know About Them)

Like most Rockstar games, it’s expected that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be supported by a memorable, charismatic supporting cast. After all, excellent ensemble stories are among Rockstar’s greatest strengths, typified by games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto 4, whose various characters are often A-bombs of charm, intrigue, humor, or revulsion.

It’s hard to say how GTA 6 will measure up to its predecessors in this regard, as we’ve only gotten the briefest of looks at its cast so far. Taking place in the Miami-inspired Vice City, it’s safe to say that the game will have some rather colorful characters, with several likely to be influenced by any number of real-world “Florida men” archetypes (as an ex-Floridian and recovering Florida Man myself, I feel my use of the term is valid).

The following character summaries are derived from GTA 6 trailers and the Rockstar website. As such, they will not include rumors, speculation, or any information from unofficial channels.

Lucia Caminos & Jason Duval

The Bonnie and Clyde duo at the center of GTA 6, Lucia and Jason are the characters players will become most intimately familiar with during their time in the main campaign. Upon game start, Lucia is finishing up her sentence at Leonida Penitentiary; her crimes have not been revealed, but the GTA 6 website says that she landed in prison as a result of “fighting for her family.”

Now released, she hopes to carve out a more prosperous, peaceful life for herself alongside her lover Jason. Growing up amidst crime himself, Jason is no stranger to violence and strife, though he also dreams of a better future. This shared optimism is what ties Jason and Lucia together, not just as romantic partners, but criminals willing to risk everything.

Brian Heder

Revealed in GTA 6‘s second trailer, Brian Heder is presented as something of a mentor or big-brother figure to Jason. An old man in a profession where men die young, Brian has an extensive history as a drug runner in Leonidas, and currently oversees a network of criminals while keeping his own hands relatively clean. Jason is one of Brian’s enforcers, and he provides lodging for the former at a beachside property, seen in Trailer 2.

Cal Hampton

It looks like Cal is being positioned as the Lester of GTA 6: an eccentric, devil may care conspiracy theorist entrenched in everyday paranoia. He’s a close friend of Jason, and his apparent penchant for eavesdropping on Coast Guard communications ought to make him a useful ally.

Boobie Ike

A classic success story, Boobie Ike transcended the rough-and-tumble street lifestyle of his youth and emerged a successful, influential Vice City mogul, owning and operating the popular Jack of Hearts strip club. He’s also built a sizable real estate empire, with investments throughout Leonidas. But his most recent endeavor, a recording company called Only Raw Records, is his greatest passion. Together with up-and-coming rapper Dre-Quan Priest, Boobie hopes to make a splash in the music industry.

Dre-Quan Priest

Boobie Ike’s business partner and prized recording artist, Dre-Quan starts GTA 6 with dissent fomenting. He may be Only Raw Records’ cream of the cream, but now that he has signed two-woman rap outfit Real Dimez, he’s starting to look for the door. An ambitious hustler to the bone, he will be an asset—or perhaps a liability—for Jason and Lucia during their climb to the top.

Real Dimez: Roxy & Bae Luxe

Two women with a bond solidified during teenagehood, Roxy (curly hair) and Bae Luxe (braids) are the dynamic duo Real Dimez. They rose above the world of petty crime years before the start of GTA 6, courtesy of a popular single with local artist DWNPLY. Unfortunately, they suffered an as-of-yet-unspecified setback, losing much of their fame and status as a result. After finding a nice landing spot in Only Raw Records, the girls hope to claw back their former relevance.

Raul Bautista

Like Brian Heder, Raul is a seasoned, wizened career criminal set up to be a galvanizing force in GTA 6. Described as both charming and reckless, Raul is “always on the hunt for talent” to help with his bank heists, which gained him his reputation and fortune. It looks like he will be responsible for sending Lucia and Jason into sticky situations. Hopefully, he’ll get them out of a jam or two as well.

Other Characters

In addition to the aforementioned characters, Rockstar has revealed other NPCs with less information available about them. It’s therefore hard to determine whether they will play significant roles in GTA 6‘s story (some of them may only exist for the sake of trailers or backstory, for example), but nevertheless, here they are:

  • Lori Heder: The third and current wife of Brian Heder. Seems to be aware of his criminal activities.
  • Stefanie: Lucia’s correctional social worker.
  • Rudi: A reckless Leonida resident shown climbing atop a moving vehicle in GTA 6‘s first trailer. Implied to be dead.
  • Phil: Owner of a Leonida Ammu-Nation
  • DWNPLY: Rapper who collaborated with Real Dimez on their hit single, five years before GTA 6 begins.
  • Leonida Impertinent (“Florida Joker”): A heavily tattooed delinquent. Famous for attracting the ire of real-world “Florida Joker.”
  • Hamlet Woman (“Hammer Lady”): Shown briefly in GTA 6‘s first trailer, wielding a pair of hammers in a residential area. Seems to be inspired by hammer-wielding “Karen” who gained notoriety in a viral video five years ago.
