Fortnite is hinting at a brand-new POI coming to the game with the launch of its Chapter 7 Season 2 update, teasing more to explore in Polar Peak. With Season 1 of the battle royale’s ongoing Chapter 7 drawing to a close, Epic Games has given fans plenty of exciting content to close out the season. Fortnite has launched multiple new crossovers throughout recent weeks, including Honkai: Star Rail, Resident Evil Requiem, and Solo Leveling content being added to the game. Now, the developer is dropping some major teasers for the next season.
Fortnite has mostly been tight-lipped about the array of content set to arrive with its next season. The battle royale has yet to officially confirm any of the major changes coming to the game’s map in Season 2, with its new crossovers also not being revealed. Leaks have begun to hint at some future crossovers, however, including an unexpected collaboration with popular meme character Tung Tung Tung Sahur in a future patch. Fortnite is now giving fans their first hints about one particular new point of interest set to be added to the game with Chapter 7 Season 2.

Fortnite Teasing New Update to Polar Peak
A recent teaser from Fortnite hinted at a multitude of new points of interest, including one particularly chilly area for players to explore. Prominent leaker HYPEX singled out a new area in Polar Peak within a showcase featuring still images of numerous locations, highlighting a major POI to be added in Season 2. The post does not specify many details of how Polar Peak’s updated version will play, with the location in Fortnite‘s Chapter 7 Season 1 having been encased in ice, which has been slowly melting with each new patch. Chapter 7 Season 2 is currently scheduled to launch on March 19.
The Season 2 teaser comes as Fortnite is asking fans to wait a bit longer than expected for the game’s next season, pushing back its release date. Fortnite‘s Chapter 7 Season 2 was first planned to debut on March 7, just over three months after the launch of the newest Chapter for Fortnite. Epic Games did not cite a specific reason behind the two-week delay to its current March 19 release date, with fans suggesting that Epic Games may be looking to avoid many of the technical issues that plagued Season 1’s launch.
While fans await more news about the launch of Season 2, the battle royale has introduced some exciting new crossovers to keep players entertained. Fortnite‘s first collaboration with HoYoverse officially launched on February 26, adding two of Honkai: Star Rail‘s most popular characters to the game with Kafka and Blade. Epic Games’ previously-revealed Resident Evil Requiem content also arrived in the game on February 27, rewarding fans for buying the next entry in the survival horror franchise on the Epic Games Store with a free skin of protagonist Grace Ashcroft. Fortnite‘s ongoing Lantern Fest is even giving out a free skin for participating in the game’s Reload Lantern Fest Cup on March 3.
Fortnite fans should have lots to look forward to from the game throughout the upcoming Chapter 7 Season 2 and beyond. Fortnite may be teaming up with one of the biggest media franchises of the 2010s, suggesting that a crossover with Game of Thrones is in the works for 2026. Recent leaks have also suggested that the battle royale is preparing a crossover with one of its biggest shooter competitors, potentially adding multiple skins to the game based on Overwatch. Fortnite is primed to have a big year with plenty of exciting crossovers and events in store.
