A collab between Fortnite and Persona 5 has leaked, tantalizing players with the possibility of the Phantom Thieves descending onto the battlefield. If accurate, this will mark the first time that Persona and Fortnite have crossed over in history.
Persona 5 saw incredible success at release, with the game having received numerous follow-ups from Atlus. Atlus and Sega also partnered with Black Wings and P-Studio to release Persona 5: The Phantom X, a mobile spin-off game that has brought back the original Phantom Thieves as playable characters. If this new Fortnite claim is any indication, though, it may steal the spotlight for a while.
Leak Claims Fortnite and Persona to Cross Over Soon
Fortnite leaker SamLeakss shared that Fortnite will be crossing over with the extremely popular Persona 5. The claim has since been reinforced by another popular Fortnite leaker, HYPEX, giving it further credence. According to SamLeakss, Fortnite will cross over with Persona 5 in Season 4 of Chapter 7. SamLeakss speculates that the upcoming Fortnite season will have an overall gaming theme, based on other leaks they’ve witnessed. While the leaker didn’t have much more to say about what Persona 5 content would arrive in the game, they did add that Persona will also be crossing over with Rocket League. That game will reportedly include free rewards themed on Persona that can be transferred to Fortnite.

Plenty of gamers have already expressed excitement over the additions that this alleged crossover could bring. However, there has also been some confusion and curiosity expressed about why Persona 5 has been selected for the crossover. Persona 4 will notably be getting the remake treatment in early 2027, which some feel might have made it a good candidate for this crossover. However, there’s also some logic to going with Persona 5. Persona 5 is the breakout hit that really made waves in the west for the Persona series for the first time, so it makes some sense for that to be the game that gets highlighted here. And if successful, it’s not out of the question for other Persona games to crossover with Fortnite at some point in the future.
While excitement is indeed high, there are some that aren’t convinced, largely due to past claims. Back in 2024, a different leaker made a similar claim, alleging that Persona would cross over with Fortnite and even include a new weapon. However, those leaks were either inaccurate, fabricated, or something happened with the planned collab, as the two franchises didn’t cross over as expected. While the current leak comes from different people, gamers should probably take it with a grain of salt to be on the safe side.
Even if the Fortnite and Persona crossover claims turn out to be false, there are still plenty of reasons to be excited about the Persona franchise right now. In addition to the aforementioned remake Persona 4 Revival arriving in early 2027, Persona 5 kicked off a collab with Call of Duty: Mobile on July 1, and there’s a new Persona live action show in the works. It’s also the 30th anniversary of the overall Persona series, and Atlus and Sega are celebrating, so there may yet be more to come in 2026.
