LEGO Officially Releases 17 New Pokemon Sets You Can Buy Now

LEGO and Pokemon enthusiasts can now purchase 17 collectible sets, including a dozen Smart Play compatible kits, via the Pokemon Center and at LEGO stores nationwide. The new LEGO Pokemon sets came as the popular monster-catching franchise celebrated its 30th anniversary.

Although Pokemon and LEGO are recognizable brands, the two companies had never collaborated before until recently. As part of the Pokemon franchise’s 30th anniversary, The Pokemon Company and LEGO announced a multi-year partnership starting in 2026 that would bring LEGO Pokemon products to fans across the globe. Some of the first LEGO Pokemon sets that were initially unveiled featured critters such as Pikachu, Eevee, and the fully-evolved forms of the Kanto starter trio. During the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show, LEGO unveiled the 2×4 Smart Brick that can be used with sets labeled as “Smart Play compatible,” including select LEGO Pokemon sets.

Now, 17 LEGO Pokemon sets are now available to either buy right now or pre-purchase ahead of a later release date. This includes 12 LEGO Pokemon Smart Play kits, two of which are LEGO Smart Play All-in-One sets that come with LEGO Smart Bricks and LEGO Smart Tag pieces that produce distinct sounds and lighting effects. The two LEGO Smart Play All-in-One kits are the Training House with Pikachu kit and the Charizard vs. Jolteon Ultimate Battle set. The 400-piece Training House with Pikachu All-in-One set is priced at $69.99, while the 751-piece Charizard vs. Jolteon Ultimate Battle All-in-One kit will cost $119.99. The rest of the LEGO Pokemon Smart Play compatible sets will vary in price. The most affordable sets on the list are Jigglypuff Concert at $14.99, Charmander and Geodude’s Cavern Clash at $19.99, and Berry Bash with Bulbasaur and Bidoof at $19.99.

Along with the LEGO Pokemon Smart Play sets, five additional LEGO Pokemon adult sets are available for buyers to peruse. These sets feature Rayquaza, Arcanine, and Munchlax, alongside an Up-Scaled Red Minifigure and a Poke Ball that includes minifigures of Red, Professor Oak, a Picknicker, Pikachu, and Eevee. The Rayquaza set will also include a minifigure of Zinnia, a Dragon-type trainer from Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The cheapest set of the newly-released LEGO Pokemon adult kits is Munchlax, starting at $69.99. By comparison, the most expensive of the five-set lot is the LEGO Pokemon Iconic Trainer Moments Poke Ball set, which will set buyers back $299.99.

While most of the aforementioned LEGO Pokemon kits are now available to purchase, the LEGO Pokemon Up-Scaled Red Minifigure and the LEGO Pokemon Iconic Trainer Moments Poke Ball sets will not be shipped out until Thursday, October 1. As of this writing, each LEGO Pokemon adult set box was still available via the Pokemon Center, though each set has a purchase limit of three per transaction.

Additionally, the new LEGO Pokemon kits are only available to purchase in the US, Canada, and the UK as of this writing. With Pokemon Winds and Waves right around the corner, it remains to be seen if LEGO and Pokemon will release sets based on Gen 10 in the future.
