NetEase continues to evolve the Marvel Rivals experience, releasing a brand-new update for the game on April 9, 2026, which adds new cosmetic content, applies additional fixes, and gives Deadpool fans a new opportunity to score some loot. The free-to-play hero shooter continues to receive updates from developer NetEase, keeping things feeling fresh while also adding new content for fans to dive into. The latest Marvel Rivals update adds some interesting cosmetics to a couple of characters as well.
Currently, Marvel Rivals is deep into Season 7, which takes players back to a unique version of New York City where Mayor Fisk has declared martial law and arrested all vigilantes after a future version of the Alchemax Corporation suddenly appeared. For Season 7, Tiger Division Director, Ami “White Fox” Han, has joined the roster of characters as a Strategist, able to heal and buff allies or damage and charm enemies. Her ultimate form turns her into a Nine-Tailed Fox for a limited time, where her abilities are further enhanced. As Marvel Rivals slowly approaches its midway point and the arrival of Black Cat to the playable roster, NetEase continues to improve the game with smaller updates.
Marvel Rivals Gets Avengers-Themed Roadmap All Leading Up to Doomsday
Marvel Rivals has just released an Avengers-themed roadmap that’s starting in April and running all the way up to Doomsday’s release in December.
The latest Marvel Rivals update has finally arrived for players, fixing remaining issues while adding a lot more cosmetic content to the game a day later on April 10. In fact, April 10 also kicks off a new limited-time event called Deadpool – Hospitality 101. Similar to the Van Dyne’s Grand Opening event featuring the Daring Daifuku outfit for Psylocke during Marvel Rival‘s 1st Anniversary celebrations, players will be able to try their luck popping balloons and earning rewards. The ultimate reward will be the Maidpool outfit, originally debuting in Deadpool (2008) #20 and features new visual and sound FX for the game.
In addition, Jeff the Land Shark is following suit with his own Maid Outfit, also with unique visual and sound FX. Ironfist is also getting a premium outfit called Lin Shao: The Knockout, giving him a kickboxer-style look and feel. Unlike Maidpool, these outfits are a premium purchase from the in-game store. Additional store cosmetics include Poppin’ Peach and Yapping Yolk chroma for the Maidpool outfit and the Shark Attack emote bundle featuring Marvel Rival‘s take on Deadpool and Jeff.
The patch also introduces new optimizations and fixes for the game, with White Fox being put in the spotlight. SPecifically, the color of White Fox’s Kumiho form now matches her Secret Agent and Rosy Recon costume base colors. In addition, NetEase has added new animations for White Fox and Cloak, though specifics on what they are weren’t provided.
A couple of bugs were also fixed in this update, including one for Hulk which could prevent the hero from recovering his health if he entered an allied spawn room at the exact moment the player transformed from Bruce Banner to Hulk. It’s an incredibly specific moment, but one that could lead to a major problem for the player. The other bug fix focused on Jeff the Land Shark and his Rodeo emote. Oddly enough, the emote could be triggered randomly when entering the shared area in the Warrior Falls Spawn Room, which could result in Jeff dragging enemies back into the room for massive damage. The emote itself has been disabled when in the room.

Fixes and Optimizations
All Platforms
- Nine tails, one style! White Fox’s Kumiho form color now syncs up with her Secret Agent and Rosy Recon costume base colors. No more undercover color confusion. Agent Ami is always on-brand.
- Take a Seat…or Lean?: New animations for White Fox and Cloak.
HEROES
- Hulk’s Healing Hiccup: Fixed an issue where Hulk might fail to recover health if he entered an allied Spawn Room at the exact moment when transforming. Even the Green Goliath needs a proper breather to patch up those gamma-irradiated wounds. Hulk heal good!
- Jeff’s Rodeo Rampage: Addressed a wild glitch where the Jeff Rodeo emote could unexpectedly be triggered in the shared area of the Warrior Falls Spawn Room. This allowed the chaos-causing Jeff to drag enemies back into his Spawn Room for massive damage. Sorry, Jeff, the Avengers say no sharknapping! This emote is now off-limits in that zone.
