Adrian has been writing, critiquing, and thinking about games since he first picked up an N64 controller many years ago. These days he writes reviews, news, and features for Game Rant and believes games should be held to the same artistic standards as books, movies, and television shows. When he’s not writing for Game Rant, Adrian writes even more reviews for Sirus Gaming and likes to get nerdy about tech and retro games at HackerNoon. Outside the gaming world, he spends plenty of time enjoying movies or listening to every genre of music under the sun. Follow him on Twitter for nonsense tweets likely related to Dragon Ball Z, or check out Breadhouse Records for some tunes.
New evidence has emerged supporting a previous God of War Laufey leak claiming Tyr could appear as a second playable character alongside Faye. Santa Monica Studio officially revealed God of War Laufey in June 2026 as the next mainline entry in the series, with Faye taking the lead after awakening in the Everywhen following her funeral in the 2018 reboot.
God of War Laufey’s Second Playable Character May Have Just Been Teased
The recent rumors surrounding Tyr in God of War Laufey are receiving renewed attention because of Diogo Morgado, Tyr’s European Portuguese voice actor in Ragnarok. During a livestream reaction to the June State of Play, Morgado was asked whether he would also appear in God of Laufey, to which the actor responded with a laugh before noting how restrictive NDAs can be. Shortly after, Morgado told the hosts that following the stream, he would rate on a scale of 1 to 10 how difficult it had been to bite his tongue and avoid saying anything. The exchange doesn’t establish that Tyr is in the game, let alone playable, but it is a conspicuously noncommittal response to an existing rumor.
