From the moment 4-year-old Cameron first stepped out into Glimmer in Spyro 2, he knew video games were going to play a central role in the rest of his life. Though he never planned to make it the focal point of his career, Cameron spent the vast majority of his spare time growing up playing games, and following graduation from the University of Reading, he thought he’d try his hand at writing a few reviews. Six years later, Cameron has reviewed countless games, written thousands of news and feature pieces, and interviewed a wide range of developers for GameRant.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has just officially teased some brand-new content coming to the game with its imminent Season 1 update. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 is set to arrive on November 6 as a free update for everyone who owns the game.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Reveals Season 1 Content
Activision has just released a two-minute teaser trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 content drop. Arriving on November 6, the free Season 1 update will add at least three new multiplayer maps to the game, those being Canyon, Shoot House, and Backstab. Shoot House was first introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 and appeared again in Call of Duty: Mobile and 2022’s Modern Warfare 2. Backstab appears to be a reimagining of the Call of Duty 2 map Burgundy, though that’s not been officially confirmed by Activision or Infinity Ward at the time of writing.
A brand-new map is also coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4‘s DMZ mode. Called ‘XO1’, this new DMZ map was recently rumored to be part of the Season 1 lineup. As the leaks suggested, XO1 appears to be a much smaller-scale map than DMZ’s default Hajin map, thus paving the way for a more PvP-focused experience due to its more claustrophobic interior layout.
