NTE: Neverness to Everness fans are already getting tired of Taygedo just days after the game’s launch, with many feeling he is the worst part of the game. Taygedo has already drawn the ire of plenty of fans, with many NTE players negatively comparing him to characters like Genshin Impact‘s Paimon.
The long-awaited public release of NTE: Neverness to Everness on April 28 has already been a hit with many fans. First billed as an anime-styled Grand Theft Auto that incorporates elements of games like Genshin Impact, NTE gives players no shortage of things to do. Aside from playing through the main story of NTE‘s launch update, players can buy and decorate their own in-game house, acquire different vehicles, and roam around the vast city of Hethereau. However, many fans have begun to particularly dislike Taygedo early into the game’s life.

NTE’s Taygedo is Already Garnering Significant Hate from Fans
Players are already expressing their annoyance with one of NTE‘s earliest cast members, growing tired of Taygedo. A thread on the Neverness to Everness subreddit has already gained significant traction among players asking for the ability to mute Taygedo, finding his voice and speech patterns annoying. Another fan noted that bumping into Taygedo will knock him down, with the character falling over after being pushed by the player character. The front page of the forum features several different posts from fans expressing their annoyance at Taygedo, often receiving hundreds and even thousands of upvotes.

Though fans have pointed out their frustrations with Taygedo, many doubted that the developers would change the character. The top comment in one thread shares that many players in the beta test for Neverness to Everness had voiced similar complaints about Taygedo, though no adjustments were made. One fan also suggested that the first round of surveys for the game would include significant fan hate towards Taygedo, expressing their personal doubt about any significant changes to the character in the game’s first few patches.
Complaints about Taygedo have done little to stop the early momentum for the open-world RPG. NTE has seen positive reception from fans at its outset, with many praising its art style and the exploration of Hethereau as the best parts of the game. The RPG has also provided a plethora of side activities for players, including a Cafe management mini-game, rhythm games, and mahjong. NTE even features some criminal activities clearly inspired by games like GTA, allowing players to participate in street races and pull off heists.

NTE‘s launch has set the game up for future success, with plenty more content on the way. Hotta Studio has already confirmed two new characters set to arrive in the game with its Version 1.1 update, teasing both Lacrimosa and Chaos as the next members of the playable cast. Fans also got an early chance to try out Lacrimosa ahead of her release, appearing briefly as a playable character during the main story for NTE‘s Version 1.0. NTE should have plenty of room to grow moving forward, with more characters, game mechanics, and areas to explore yet to come.
