New LEGO Animal Crossing Set is Coming on March 1, and It’s Super Cheap

New LEGO Animal Crossing Set is Coming on March 1, and It’s Super Cheap

Several LEGO sets are slated to release on March 1, like Darth Vader’s Tie Fighter (#75421) and the Batman v Superman Batmobile (#76331), and that includes a new polybag for Animal Crossing. Given that most LEGO sets for Animal Crossing are typically pricey, this is a great way for fans to get their hands on everyone’s favorite tanuki.

Indeed, for the LEGO Animal Crossing sets released throughout 2025, they typically ranged from $9.99 to $89.99. The latest set, now confirmed as it previously leaked online, is a simple polybag, but it features Tom Nook and a Flying Present. For those with their ears to the ground, the leaks were right about their piece count, price, and everything.

LEGO is releasing Set Number 30731 on March 1, which is a polybag titled Tom Nook and Flying Present. It will be priced at $4.99, includes 33 pieces, and includes an adorable minifig of Tom Nook, alongside pieces forming a balloon, a present, and a ground. Unfortunately, while the set is a “Flying Present,” there is no clear piece included to give this effect. The Tom Nook minifig, however, is likely enough for many Animal Crossing fans, especially if they are LEGO casuals. At the same time, it’s a wonderful addition to any collection.

New LEGO Animal Crossing Set: #30731 Tom Nook and Flying Present

  • Set Name: Tom Nook and Flying Present
  • Set Number: #30731
  • Piece Count: 33
  • Price: $4.99
  • Release Date: March 1, 2026

What’s more is that this is obviously not the first time Nook has been given the LEGO treatment. He was included in the Nook’s Cranny and Rosie’s House set (#77050), which was released on March 1, 2024 (two years ago) and was discontinued on December 31, 2025. If someone avoided getting that more expensive LEGO set, as it was priced at $74.99, then this is a great set for those fans.

Of course, this LEGO polybag can be expanded for players by anyone’s imagination. LEGO fans are not strangers to pulling off tricky builds. Recently, one LEGO fan turned the DeLorean Set into the Millennium Falcon, while a completely different fan turned the Millennium Falcon into the USS Princeton. Something that extravagant is not too likely with this polybag, but including Tom Nook in other LEGO Animal Crossing builds is a no-brainer.

It also comes at a good time. The 3.0 update and Nintendo Switch 2 Edition have breathed new life into Animal Crossing: New Horizons, sending fans back to their islands. Nintendo is obviously still supporting Animal Crossing: New Horizons with new updates; in other words, Tom Nook will always be a popular release, but now is the best time to do so.

More LEGO Animal Crossing Sets Are On the Way

While this is a great way to get the Tom Nook minifig, some fans may opt to skip out on this release. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be mindful of more releases this year. According to reliable leaker lego_minecraft_goat, a more expansive kit is targeting a summer 2026 release. Few details are known, but it is said to be set number 77059 and will retail at $59.99.

Fans will have to wait and see if the next set proves worth it, or if there are any surprises by then, but the easiest way to do that is to collect other LEGO sets or spend some more time on your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
