No Man’s Sky Gets New Update for April 2026

No Man’s Sky has rolled out a fresh update for April 2026, making several adjustments and fixes to the game following the recent addition of its new Xeno Arena expansion. The latest No Man’s Sky update is already available for PC via Steam, and it should be arriving on consoles in the near future.

The addition of Xeno Arenas to No Man’s Sky arrived with update 6.3, which was launched on April 8, so many players are still getting a feel for them. A side activity that allows players to collect creatures and use them to compete in battles with hologrammatic representations of these beings, players have found obvious parallels between the new game mechanic and the core gameplay of other monster-catching games like those in the Pokemon franchise, but using a variety of alien beasts that fit neatly into No Man’s Sky‘s universe.

No Man’s Sky Player Builds Incredible Orbital Base

There are nearly infinite planets in No Man’s Sky to explore, and one player’s base fits perfectly into one of those worlds’ aesthetics.

Now, Hello Games has released a new update titled Xeno 6.32, which uses early player feedback about the latest free content expansion to fix six different problems that have been identified. It’s certainly not uncommon for a developer to release a patch after the implementation of a new feature, but interestingly, only one of the key items is directly related to the new monster-battling system itself, making it seem to be pretty stable. Specifically, a bug has been causing NPCs near the Holo Arena Game tables to be unresponsive to player actions, but the update should solve this problem, allowing for easier access to arena battles at space stations, settlements, outposts, and The Anomaly.

One other bug fix that is loosely tied to the Xeno Arena system concerns players running into issues with flickering visual elements when exploring underwater. This problem has reportedly been resolved via the new patch, and the game should now allow for smoother graphics if players choose to look below the water’s surface while searching for the best creatures to use in the No Man’s Sky Holo Arena.

There are also a handful of bugs that have been introduced to the game through the Xeno Arena update that don’t specifically concern the monster-battling system at all, and the latest patch has addressed them. One of these issues involved upgrades on No Man’s Sky‘s customizable Corvette ships being removed after players had performed a warp between different star systems. Along with that, the patch resolves a duplication glitch that was unintentionally adding extra copies of items to players’ inventories. Finally, the last two notes of the patch mention fixes to a rare networking crash and a PlayStation 5-specific problem that had been causing performance issues when players were visiting The Anomaly.

The 6.32 update actually arrives just one day after another patch for the Xeno Arena expansion was added to the game. Update 6.31 also offered only minor changes and fixes and was specific to the PlayStation and PC versions of the game. The only added features resolved crash issues that could occur when players were moving No Man’s Sky Technology upgrades around in their inventories while the pop-up warning about recharging systems was active, and general improvements to network optimization.
