No Man’s Sky Player Finds Planet That Looks Like It Came Straight From Hello Games’ Light No Fire

A No Man’s Sky player has discovered a new planet in their in-game universe that bears a striking resemblance to Hello Games’ upcoming Light No Fire. The massive sandbox space exploration game boasts a wide array of different environments for players to traverse across its expansive in-game universe, filled with procedurally-generated worlds of all shapes and sizes. Players have found no shortage of unique worlds to explore in No Man’s Sky, whether to interact with its many alien species or harvest resources. Now, Hello Games is gearing up for its next big project.

Hello Games officially revealed Light No Fire during the 2023 Game Awards as a brand-new game from the studio. Light No Fire is set to follow in the same vein as No Man’s Sky, tasking players with exploring and uncovering the secrets of its procedurally-generated world. The game will notably differ from No Man’s Sky in its focus on a single world, said to be “bigger than the Earth” and even more ambitious in scope than No Man’s Sky before it. Now, one fan has found a No Man’s Sky world ringing eerily close to Light No Fire.

No Man’s Sky World is Strikingly Similar to Light No Fire

Reddit user Tijex10 is sharing their incredible No Man’s Sky find to the unofficial subreddit for the game. The user attaches a plethora of images showing off scenery around the newly-discovered world, dubbing it Artemis, revealing a vibrant colorful Earth-like planet. The world bears a striking similarity to many of the environments shown in Light No Fire, with similar types of greenery and geological elements found throughout the planet. The stunning screenshots span a wide variety of different biomes, from sprawling and scenic lakes to dimly-lit undergrounds illuminated by multicolored glowing mushrooms. The Reddit user also shared some interesting data about the planet, with temperature ranges similar to Earth and calculating the size to be roughly 97,300u.

The Light No Fire-like world filled the comments on the post with plenty of impressed fans and humorous observations. Many jokingly suggested that the world, or others within No Man’s Sky, could be used as a testing ground for Hello Games, theorizing about finding similar structures in the space-faring game. Many players posed the theory that Light No Fire could take place on a planet within the No Man’s Sky universe. The Reddit user also shared the coordinates for the planet in the original post, giving other players the chance to find the world in their own game.

Light No Fire looks to have lots in store to excite fans of No Man’s Sky when the game finally releases. Hello Games founder Sean Murray was quick to hype up the game after its initial reveal, setting fan expectations high for the game’s touted “truly open world.” Light No Fire has already confirmed some big features set to be included in the game, such as a more expansive character customization system and a shared multiplayer world. The game will also boast a variety of different mounts, ranging from birds and eagles to even dragons.

While Hello Games continues to work on Light No Fire, No Man’s Sky has seen plenty of exciting updates as well. No Man’s Sky officially rolled out its Remnant update in February, bringing customizable trucks, the Gravitino Coil, and lots more to the space exploration game. No Man’s Sky has pushed multiple big patches every year since its release, with new updates typically arriving for the game every couple months. Light No Fire looks to carry on the legacy of No Man’s Sky with another exciting procedurally-generated adventure for players to enjoy.
